Ok due to bugs mant people have lost stuff including me (a tempest) but due to poxy mission bugs i lost some thing more important standings it is my opinunon that ccp should do a sever role back to the patch day and then update the sever with the hot fix patch as the current state of the game has made ife hard for all of us.
Please this is not a whine or i lost my stuff and now what this back i just belive that a large % of the player base has now lost so much stuff due to bugs this may be an option.
I have know ccp to do one role back in my playing time at the start og the game maybe one more is due

No, because I've gained far too many items, equipment, and skill points since the patch for me to lose it all on people who 1. didn't use the petition system 2. tried to take on missions/npc's with their expensive ships RIGHT after an incredibly large patch was just put into the game.
And I'm sick of seeing this too, stop asking for compensation when it isn't the fault of CCP's that you ignored their "agent's have problems right now" news message and diliberatly used expensive ships during a promised lag/buggy timeperiod after the patch.

And who then will replace the money and stuff I got within the last 3 days ?
All would be lost with a rollback, everybody¦s work of the last 3 days. |

Edited by: foster on 26/11/2004 21:36:19 i don't think a role back would be a good idea. but i have lost nothing. i haven't done missions or gone looting etc during bad lag. during testing i learn't that flying with illegal goods means the loss of your ship. castor learnt me 1 thing that i will never forget - resume playing fully a good few days after a major patch and read the patch notes

and i have also gained alot of money etc within the last 3 days. it kinda isn't fair to take it away when i have been careful and kept full production going reguardless of the server problems or lag

Everyone that lost stuff to lag should get reimbursed, but a server rollback is out of the question. Too many people have gained too much in the last 3 days to just screw them over with a rollback. _____________________________________ Your Focused Modulated Pulse Energy Beam I perfectly strikes Blood Arch Sage, wrecking for 216.8 damage. |

woo, another roll back topic
It's not a good idea, it'll take ages of downtime again. However much you believe the player base supports this, I doubt they do. Only CCP has the numbers on how many people actually lost stuff due to lag/broken missions/broken market/whatever, not us.
You just don't do a roll back untill things unmistakenly come to a grinding halt. I would have to be much worse to justify a roll back.

Here we go with the 'rollback' again...
Do you have any idea how many hundreds of thousands of transactions have taken place in the database with the new code? A lot. To rollback all that would cause MORE problems than it could ever solve. Within the first few hours of Exodus going live it would have been a nightmare, let alone a few days after.
Just say no to 'rollbacks'.

No rollbacks.
But they should take the system down for another 24 hours if they need to do extra gubbins to fix the problems

Everyone I've talked to said Castor was worse, and that in comparison this has gone pretty well. I wasnt around for castor, but i helped test exodus since it went live on the test server so I knew what to expect and knew it wasnt gonna be totally peachy for deployment. So I've been mining in my barge for my raven in 0.9 space and going doin 1/10 and 2/10 complexes in my Merlin, cheap and expendable. Still have the merlin too hehe

Being one of those that has lost 2 ships and over 120 Million isk , YES, a rollback would be nice, but it should have been done 2 days ago

Castor was worse and if Lord Anubis was playing when the first roll back occurred which I believe was due to an exploit creating billions of ISK. Then he should have known to stay docked or/and play safe until things stabilised or insure his ship. This is a piece of cake compared to Castor. Vets know major patches will result in losses if not approached with caution.
Rollback would cost me 100 mill, ships and loyalty points. Its a waste of time discussing it because its not going to happen.
