Those of you who have had the fortune to get away from light pollution and see the night sky know that the stars look very impressive. We don't ever really see a sky like that in EVE, though, as most of space is taken up with (admittedly impressive) nebulas. I think it would be nice if some systems were "dark", in the sense that they would be missing the highly colored nebulas that seem so popular. Instead, the background would be replaced by a much more dense collection of distant stars, much like the night sky as seen from Earth.

Yeah. It would be really, really nice! --------------------------

Wtf?
Originally by: Akita T Well, at least sort of. A little bit. Conceptually speaking.
That's more like it. |

Just a note, when you see the stars at night it's because the earth also blocks the sun's glare.
the way you see space while ni a solar system is pretty much just black.

This is just because of maximum contrast ratios. The astronaut is wearing a white space suit in full sunlight. That has got to be a thousand times brighter than any star. Given that there are only 256 different levels of brightness in 24/32 bit images, the stars brightness falls below 1 and doesn't register in the final picture. If you were to zoom in so that only the black parts of space were in view, you'd see stars. Lot's of them. Unfortunatly you can't do this on the final picture anymore, since that data has already been lost when the data was limited to 32 bit while saving the file. You'd have to do it before you take the picture. Or you'd have to take a picture with 64 bits per pixel, but I'm not sure if any such hardware exists. You'd then have 64K levels of brightness. - In simplistic terms it has been said that there is enough Zero Point Energy in the volume the size of a coffee cup to boil away EarthÆs oceans. |

Additional a twin-/multi-star System would be great, too.

All systems other than WHs with gates should be binary systems.
On another subject, CCP should use single-star systems of k-space to be travelled to via WH, and cynos to be established allowing expansion.
