Is there any way to counter being neuted in a ceptor? Are boosters viable? Or do i just accept being neuted+webbed as insta-death?

Use your speed to avoid both being neuted or webbed. *** Currently Playing: Trolls from Outer Space Current Equipment: VISAcard chain mail, +2 Amulet of Epic Whine, Self Banstick +2 WTB: +666 E-peen killboard stats |

A cap injector would work if getting neuted was inevitable.

If you have extra midslots, a cap injector (cap booster charges) can be a counter. If you're really skin-tight, you could try to counter with a nosferatu (that you use just before you activate modules, so that you just-by-just can keep the modules running).
Of course, the superior choice is dictating range, if possible. Range is also the only counter to webifiers (well, an afterburner might be another, but the interceptors have bonuses for MWDs, so you'd likely need to have dual propulsion mods then). Technically if going solo, electronic warfare might also be used as a counter (if you have that additional midslot), but without ECM bonuses you'd practically need to have correct racial ECM fitted for your target.

It's not always.
Tackling battleships will generally put you inside neut range.
In theory you have the range to stay outside but in practice this is very difficult with elliptical orbits and whatnot.

Yup, ECM is a waste of time. Managing your range and speed is the name of your game.

How is an AB superior to MWD for dealing with webbers?

A warp scrambler shuts off MWD, but not AB.

Tackling bs with heavy neut? Overheat point and stay outside its range. Also 1 heavy neut isnt end of the world, but with bonused warriors it can hurt. Problem is that if neut is well planned and target aligned, it can easily gtfo.
If your in small/med neut range, you are doing it wrong, vs curse you are almost always dead inty.

In my opinion, any tackle ceptor should have a warp disruptor, a cap booster (small or micro) and a microwarpdrive in his mid slots. Considering you will be orbiting within range of heavy neuts, if your target can neut you, he will do it.

One way ius usnign the 'ceptors that have 30km points.
Alternitively, cap injectors (don't use the biggest size charge, as that will probably jsut overflow your capacitor) or even nos might work. The latter runs the risk of being webeed though, and works better on "heavier" tacklers...

Assuming you arent flying around with the interceptor skill at level 1, you should have no trouble keeping at 28km safely outside neut range. A t2 warp disruptor overheats to 34km or something, but that isnt even needed.
A battleship simply doesnt have the needed speed to significantly break your orbit even if you use the auto-orbit.

If you're a fleet tackler you should be in a pure tackle ceptor. Malediction, Ares, Raptor or Stiletto. If you have Interceptor trained to level 4 with a T2 Warp Disruptor you can point battleships outside of Heavy neut range.
As already mentioned. Against Rapier/Curses etc there really isn't much you can do. Hero tackle FTW.
Of course cap injectors are always an option but I prefer small shield buffer or a sensor booster etc over cap injectors. ----------------------------------------

Ceptor isn't going to solo a BS in a hurry, so all you need to do is tackle and survive long enough for your support to arrive. Fleet ceptors should be 25-30km away from target so even being neuted you can hope to survive long enough for your DPS/Heavy tackle to arrive.
Cap booster can give you just enough to keep the point on, and your natural speed will hopefully allow you to avoid too much pain.
If you've still got armour at the end of the fight your doing it wrong anyway --
