Edited by: Albus Xiphius on 27/02/2010 18:07:42 I've been trying to figure out at what point the shield recharges at it's maximum rate and i wanted some input from everyone here. Some people say around 50%, some people say 20%, I thought it's around 5-10% because the lower your shields are the faster they recharge.
So what the answer then?

That's about it, and it works the same for shield and cap.

Edited by: Pottsey on 27/02/2010 18:23:34 25% for shields. A lot of people think its 30% but it is really 25%. Cap should be the same peak should be 25%. ______ How to Passive Shield Tank T2

Awhile ago someone solved the formula for max and I'm fairly sure that it was closer to 33 than 25..

'Cuz CCP likes its formulas nice and complex.
Probably actually for balance reasons, or to make it interesting for pilots, keeping cap/shield hovering around that max point.

Because they would hit their max recharge rat at 0% capacity. This would make passive shield tanking impossible, and lead to you constantly running out of juice with your capacitor.
