Hi,
Been reading up on a bit of eve here and there, and one of the articles mentioned you can get chased in high sec from the police because of faction standings.
Only problem is I couldn't find the correct figure where they start chasing you. I hear of different figures of -1.5 -2.0, -5.0
Can anyone confirm any of these figures or actually give me the correct figure?
Hope this makes sense.
Thank you.

You will be killed on sight by the faction police when your particular standing is below -5.0, bute because of the Diplomacy Skill this shouldn't be a big problem.

There are two different circumstances that trigger you being attacked, and the standings involved are different. Being attacked as a criminal is based on your security status, and the amount required varies. If your security status is -2.0, you'll be attacked on entering a 1.0 security system but be fine below that. Every -0.5 below -2.0 gets you attacked on entering .1 security lower, down to .5 systems. At -5.0 security status you're considered an outlaw, and fair game for all players.
Being attacked as an enemy of the state happens when your modified faction standing is -5.0 or lower to the faction whose territory you just entered. This is modified, as I said, so the Diplomacy skill helps there. The security rating of the systems doesn't matter in this case. ______________________________________________________ Isn't it enough to know that I ruined a pony making a gift for you? |

This tl;dr version as follows: your faction standing = -5.0(or lower) = faction navy shoots at you sec status gets hairier as explaned above...

Not so sure of this. My 2nd acct. has a -6.69 standing with Amarr and he traveled extensively through Amarr space last week in a Raven. While Amarr police tried attacking him, no one else did. There was no scramming by the police 'ceptors and he was able to warp each and every time.

There's a difference between Security Status and Faction Standing. The former is (mainly) a matter of players chasing you; the latter about NPC:s doing the same. ——— “If you're not willing to fight for what you have in ≡v≡… you don't deserve it, and you will lose it.” — Karath Piki |

I stand corrected. Thought he was talking about faction standing.
