This series is a new look at our solar system. The first space science series the BBc has made since some new discoveries and changes
Episode 1 is on now about the Sun. Interesting stuff.
9pm BBC 2 Sundays, or catch it on iPlayer.
Will post some crazy facts after! ----------------------------------- New Eden Chronicles: Prime, Fanfest 2010 |

Should've been Attenborough, I'll catch it on the iPlayer later, but this looks right up my alley.

He's the guy that works at CERN isn't he? The one that called all the people who predict global catastrophe to come from the Hadron Collider 'stupid tw*ts' I like him.

Actually I did hear that the Swiss police foiled a terrorist plot to collide two iced ring donuts together in the LHC. Have you any idea the kind of powers that are unleashed when the holes from two iced ring donuts come together? IT'S LIKE DIVIDING BY ZERO WITH FREAKING SUGAR ON TOP!

Superb program, and am looking forward to the rest.
When I first clocked it, I thought the presenter was a total dweeb, but after a while his infectious enthusiasm bought me. Excellent program.
Graphics were top class.
Loved the bit that showed that the suns varying energy ouput affected the environment (somehow makes kind of sense really); Something that the priests of global warming have denied cos it's not man made, and all corporate right wing **** n stuff etc

Hm it was ok. Was hoping for some more interesting stuff about the sun. Hopefully episodes about the planets will have more substance.

watched it on Iplayer last night it was pretty ok ... its just a bit of a shame that cox has a little bit of a patronising way of explaining things imo . there was a series aired about the earth by some scottish geezer the other week which was suprisingly pretty good .

Interesting fact:
Back in the nineties, Brian Cox was the keyboard player for D:Ream

I started watching it last night, but I just couldn't get on with it or get interested. But I've been watching the Cosmos series with Carl Sagan and Sagan is just so much better.

Ian Stuwart I think. He has a great way of making the subject very interesting.

Kinda not related as it's BBC iPlayer stuff. Is Everything We Know About The Universe Wrong?
Watching it now, anybody else seen it?
