How do you smuggle items in cargo holds? do you need certain skills or? .. Im intrigued,
(ps: lana and her crew of noobz posting here will cause me to do bad things all over her and their faces, i vant serious answerz :))

Smuggling is incredibly difficult, but i'll give you a step by step analysis.
Step 1. Buy an industrial. This is the ONLY ship you can transport boosters of standard strength or higher in. If you try to undock with boosters in the hold of another ship you will get an error message.
Step 2. Train double-talk to lvl V. This gives you the option of bribing concord officials to let you pass by with drugs safely. The cost function is F(c)=(Security Status*(Average Jita Sell Price of Booster/Skill level of Double Talk))*Natural Rate of Isk Inflation.
Step 3. Fit multiple Reinforced Bulkheads modules. This reduces the chance Concord has of discovering your contraband. The chance of discovering you have contraband is .9*(1/#of Reinforced Bulkheads)
Step 4. If Concord contacts you about your cargo, IMMEDIATELY jettison it. This will prevent you from suffering any of the consequences associated with being caught with contraband.
Step 5. ????
Step 6. Profit

Uber win thanks, what about other goods that are not boosters and illegal, use a blockade runner cloaked?

Oh also, i was told if you jettison the cargo concord will destroy your ship, will check your post out with others for validity
and reinforced bulkheads, reduce your inertia and have NO mention of reducing discovery, you sure you arent leading me on a wild goose chase?

Smuggling, how to do it
well i like to spoon personally but some people like to just hold hands in bed and other stranger people will actually try this from separate beds

Edited by: BeachParty on 09/03/2010 17:48:35 If you are interested in transporting boosters I highly recommend using a rigged T1 Frig. like a Condor. You will get three types of pop up windows when smuggling;
1. A window that informs you that your are undocking with contraband. Just click it off when undocking
2. When you hit a region with a different set of laws governing contraband you will get a pop up when passing through the gate, these normally will come in a pair of pop up windows, click them off and continue on your way.
3. The third pop up window is a confiscation notice from Concord, Just tell them no thanks and continue on your way. They will send you a fine in the mail. (Never hand over the boosters when in a fast Frig.)
When smuggling boosters in empire you have to slam every gate with little to no lag in a fast frigate. By doing it this way you have very little chance of Customs ever bothering you unless you internet connection is slow. When you do get caught the fine is absurdly low (about 600K for 10 Strongs).
