So i am a turret crazy gallente player, so what i'd like to do is either fly the megathron or hyperion. Preferably the hyperion gun platform tho.
Now what i wonder is, what would a proper skillplan be for the hyperion? I got evemon and i've look at the certificates, but is all of them needed to properly fly the hyperion? I would also consider using the megathron as they are both fairly similar.
Other suggestions are also welcome, since i do not rely on the certs to a 100%

In addition to all gunnery support skills to 4 or 5, and getting Large Hybrids to 5 for T2 guns, you would also want to do all the Improved or Elite Fitting Certificates. They help a lot. Drone skills for supporting you in PvE or PvP might help some (Like ECM drones, or Warrior IIs).
Beyond that, train up some Navigation skills to get ABs or MWDs.
You know, the usual skills for PvP or PvE.

That's a good start. After that you will want Drone Interfacing 5 and T2 Ogres & Berserkers, and maybe T2 sentries. Then youre going to want to take those gunnery supports all to 5. |

Get BS4 BEFORE you step in your BS.

The Mega is a fantastic ship, but it's very SP-intensive if you want to pvp in it and not suck - you really need all the gunnery support skills at V in order for a neutron mega shooting Null to perform well (or even fit it up properly without AWU V); AM is good inside scram range but most BS fights are on gates and the targets are 20kms away and you can't leave the happy fun RR ball to go chase people down.
Don't fly a Hyperion. A good sentry domi will run circles around it for PvE, and it's completely outclassed in almost every way by the Megathron for pvp.

My main plan at teh start is to pve, i do not have much pvp experience yet and so far i enjoy the pve. If i were to pvp i would do so in smaller ships first, since battleships is not the cheapest ships either.
Allright i suppose i'll get the megathron, i'm not going to jump on the dominix bandwagon tho, this is because the pure drone gameplay bores me to hell.

Allright, i think i've finally set out a skillplan that i will use, the order is abit skewed tho i think since i chose to optimize the order of trainin in evemon. Anyway here it is.
Gallente Cruiser IV Gallente Battleship I Gallente Battleship II Gallente Battleship III Gallente Battleship IV Acceleration Control III Acceleration Control IV Energy Management III Energy Management IV Fuel Conservation II Fuel Conservation III Fuel Conservation IV Evasive Maneuvering III Evasive Maneuvering IV Hull Upgrades IV Thermic Armor Compensation I Thermic Armor Compensation II Thermic Armor Compensation III Thermic Armor Compensation IV Kinetic Armor Compensation I Kinetic Armor Compensation II Kinetic Armor Compensation III Kinetic Armor Compensation IV Explosive Armor Compensation I Explosive Armor Compensation II Explosive Armor Compensation III Explosive Armor Compensation IV EM Armor Compensation I EM Armor Compensation II EM Armor Compensation III EM Armor Compensation IV Hull Upgrades V Electronics Upgrades III Electronics Upgrades IV Electronics Upgrades V Energy Grid Upgrades III Energy Grid Upgrades IV Energy Grid Upgrades V Weapon Upgrades IV Weapon Upgrades V Advanced Weapon Upgrades I Advanced Weapon Upgrades II Advanced Weapon Upgrades III Advanced Weapon Upgrades IV Sharpshooter IV Rapid Firing III ***Remapping (not computed, use the attributes optimizer)*** Rapid Firing IV Motion Prediction III Motion Prediction IV Controlled Bursts IV Spaceship Command V Navigation IV Navigation V Repair Systems IV Repair Systems V Mechanic IV Mechanic V Drones IV Drones V Drone Interfacing I Drone Interfacing II Drone Interfacing III Drone Interfacing IV Drone Interfacing V Electronics V Engineering IV Engineering V Gunnery IV Trajectory Analysis I Trajectory Analysis II Trajectory Analysis III Trajectory Analysis IV Surgical Strike I Surgical Strike II Surgical Strike III Surgical Strike IV Gunnery V Large Hybrid Turret I Large Hybrid Turret II Large Hybrid Turret III Large Hybrid Turret IV Large Hybrid Turret V
I will get the gunnery support skills to 5 aswell, but if i do it during this plan or afterwards i am still debating.

I hate doubleposting, but the forum went down just as i was posting an edit, either way here is my thought that popped up after i posted taht.
As far as stats remapping, evemon suggests going perception and int, here i am wondering tho. Evemon goes heavy perception with int 2-3 points behind, to me it sounds it would be more beneficial to balance perception and int in the long run, or keep int only 2 points behind perception? Any thoughts?

Just put it in an acceptable order though, and you're missing some drone and other needed skills.

I know i am missing some drone skills, those will be done eventually, once i have gotten the primary gun skills done. What other skills am i missing appart from those?

have a balanced clone (perc and intelligence high) for the first year or 2 till you have a good grounding in support skills and actual ship and gunnery skills. then remap to a perception heavy attribute set for a year and specialise in that, then reassess.
don't go chasing the gunnery skills only and ship command skills too soon. the core support skills in capacitor, armour, navigation, engineering etc. will make you a much better capsuleer than getting a battleship 5 or even t2 large turrets too soon.

Thanks alot for that advice, the skillplanner did skew up alot of the planning the latest, so now i am working out the manual plan. The fact that command skills are on top is wrong, i do not intend to get that first, after all. What is the point of flying a ship that can't be fit?.
Right now i am happy flying my Battlecruiser so i am going to put off the command skills and turret skills for now. Taking your advice i will get those skilsl up first hand and later on working on large turrets and battleship command skills. This also seems like a more viable approach in the long run.

Please don't train Gallente for guns. Hybrids are horrible.
Train lasers instead.

Why not advice me to roll amarr while you're at it? I've read that they are horrible, i haven't found anything wrong with them yet. The only issue i have is with their falloff possibly and blasters low optimal range, but then again that is something i can live with.

Because most Amarrs are ugly. Maybe not like Achuras, but still, I wouldn't recommend them to my worst enemy. Actually I would but he's Achura, so...
