I know we have been a little slower than anyone would have liked on minutes, and I would like to let people know where we are with them. Everyone but Trebor got off to a very slow start, but we are now closing in on finishing them. They still need to go through NDA review and be edited, but in the interest of transparency, I wanted to share where we are on them.
Here are the sessions: (with people that signed up for each one in parens afterwards) and bold for done
Day 1 CSM Intro / Whitepaper (Trebor) Stakeholder (Trebor) Winter 2012 Expansion (Xhagen) EVE Future (Xhagen) State of Incarna (Alek) Live Events (Elise)
Day 2 Corporation Management (Hans) EVE/DUST Link (Two step) EVE UI (Seleene) Industry and Mining (Issler) Nullsec (Alek) Player Experience - Launcher (Trebor) Starbase Rework (Two step) Wardecs and Crimewatch (Hans)
Day 3 Art (Greene Lee) Content (Two step) EVE Economy (Trebor) Faction Warfare (Hans) New Player Experience (Trebor) Security (Dovinian) Ship Balance (Elise) Treaties (Seleene)
Hopefully we should be able to wrap up the remaining sessions in the next week and have the minutes out a week or two after that, at the latest. CSM 7 Secretary CSM 6 Alternate Delegate @two_step_eve on Twitter My Blog

Big thanks to Two Step for organizing the project and keeping everyone on task. I wanted to add that while these are taking some time to produce, they are also the most transparent and detailed minutes I've ever seen come out of a summit session. Everyone's been doing a great job so far on the minutes that have been turned in. Assuming they stay relatively intact through the review process, I think everyone will be pleased with the results! Vice Secretary of the 7th Council of Stellar Management.

here's to hoping that the long delay will mean some of the minutes etc, will include stuff that was NDA'd before and will be opened up for those readers keeping track... as its been a while now and we're still waiting patiently, and the lack of real news on where things are going from now toward the short to distant future would be enlightening....
hopefully the minutes don't go out to the 3 week mark as thats a LOT more waiting :(
but thanks for update and thanks to those involved |

Thanks for the update.
I know it must have been information overload. So much more captured.
Have you considered breaking it up into chunks for release? The separate meetings? Perhaps we don't need it all at once. But the sooner we get the information the better. Just a thought.
PS - Or looks like day one is about ready. A little moderation of the moderation? CCP & CCL please reply to: https://forums.eveonline.com/default.aspx?g=posts&m=1552432#post1552432

Well since this isn't a paid position, it's not like you can demand something be done within 24 hours. If you dislike how long a person is taking to do minutes, then remember that next time elections come up.
Alternatively, I'm sure the members who are not done yet could take some lighthearted teasing on twitter/forums. They seem to think they have a war to fight or something that might be taking away from their time to write up the minutes. |

Absolutely. We're already at over 120 pages, and that's not even including all of the sessions so far. Everyone asked for more transparency, this comes of course at the cost of added time, as we're finding out. Vice Secretary of the 7th Council of Stellar Management.

Perhaps we mean different things by "first draft".

Probably. When Two Step means "first draft" it's usually the completed session from the submitting member, the only revision past that point is a double-check for spelling, punctuation, and accuracy, plus a review by CCP to look for anything that might fall under the NDA (which shouldn't be much this time around). So by the time the "first draft" is submitted, 95% of the work has been done. I'ts just tidy-up work after that.
Probably another week or two I would imagine? I should be wrapping up the corp management session tonight, and will likely grab another one of the remaining sessions to work on over the weekend if they're not done by than. Vice Secretary of the 7th Council of Stellar Management.

keep working like Minmitar Slaves and Caldari Wage slaves. your work will be quickly consumed.... sadly you won't get much credit for it.
I for one appreciate the work you are doing.

Will there be anything akin to the CSM in Dust? Or will the CSM portfolio be expanded when DUST is released, then with DUST players voting? Or will DUST players have no elected say? If you don't know / it's in the minutes / something else, then I will pout. |
