I looked around for a sticky about language in warfare and found nothing so heres a bit of putting out fire with gasoline.
I thought I had stepped around profanity and used what I thought as fairly harmless language to make insults to another via my corp description and had a GM edit it. I got the idea from the griefer themselves with their insults in their corp description. I'd just had this griefer chase a mission runing alt through 7 corps so decided to cost them some isk (by corp jumping every wardec) plus give them some insults in the corp description. I've seen enough text pictures of genitalia and profanity in bios and corp descriptions I thought my choice of words, while insulting, were not over the line - but the GM edit and mail said otherwise.
The griefer used the exploit of being able to accept a player into a corp instantly if they had no roles - ie easy way to add 10 griefers friends to hunt down a mission runner. I used the same exploit to jump to a not wardec'd corp instantly.
What was the offending word? I used the 4 letter B word. If we were talking rifles, its the part you put up against your shoulder, also known as the stock. I linked the griefer alt and their corp, then wrote that "they couldn't find their own ---- with 2 hands, a map, and instuctions - let alone a war target!" the ---- being the word the GM found offensive and edited. Which is funny, as what it really is saying is the griefer was stuppid and the b word had little to do with it.
Insulting a griefer this way is apartently stepping too far and I've since stopped using the dreaded b word. Lets face it, only the griefer was going to be reading the description, and they went off crying to a GM ... Maybe the problem was I did a better job of insults than the griefer and this was unacceptable? Griefers are good at runing to a gm when they insult someone then get insulted back.
Did the insults work? Well the griefer stopped wardecing me, so in that way it was a success. Only the griefer would read the insults (expect when they passed off their tears to a GM), and the insults probably bit too close to home and offended their pride as I intended.

PS: I'm reporting the OP for alluding to the "B-word". That's disgusting; please try to keep forum discourse on a civilized level.

I just find that the 4 letter b word being deemed offensive as weird. Where does it end? If the forums were policed to such a level then 1/2 the posters would be censored and getting warnings from ccp!
Take it to the same level, wouldn't be able to use noob either as this could be considered offensive to new players. Couldn't call mission runners carebears either as that is a term used to abuse mission runners by non mission runners.
Lets face it, getting your ship ganked in hi-sec is also offensive, personally I consider it much more offensive than using the b word in describing a griefer. Pvp in low/null sec would have to be considered offensive when you lose too!
I ran over 75 missions while "at war" with the griefer - kind of fits my description of them and linking their alt/corp with the above censored message. I stopped switching corps, watched the login to see that the griefer was not logged in, and ran missions. Can't accept others to a corp to grief without loging in the ceo in a corp size of '1'.Seams the linking of the alt/corp was aceptable as the gm didn't edit that, plus you can add the link so why have ability if it can be deemed offensive? The griefer was just wardec'n to be a pain in the b word. Then for them to go crying to a GM with a petition? And for a GM to also find it offensive? Okay, it was intended to be offensive, but it was I think also an accurate description of the griefer while avoiding what I consider profanity. I seen much worse not edited here on the forums.
I'm just trying to find a level which I can abuse such a griefer, without oversteping whatever ccp deems acceptable. If they can wardec me 7x in a row just to be a griefer, surely I can't react a little? Or is this more one rule for griefing, another for non-griefers?

Don't talk ****. Just kill them and link the killboard as necessary. There's no reason to be hating on people providing you with epic kills and loot.

What's with all this use of the 'g' word? There's no such thing in Eve.
Also, the OP contains an awful lot of barely withheld tears.

Personally I find people who are offended by words to be quite frankly laughable and are akin to an 80 year old women
If someone is offended by a collection of letters they seriously need to htfu.
Its not like these letters are likely to punch you in the face or come round and take a **** on your kitchen floor, now that's offensive.
The world's not going to end just because the someone said the word **** you know.
And ccp editing this when in their own music video they talk about people toughening up and use the word **** a lot in said video is rather hypocritical to be honest.
