Toshiba Qosmio Q875
Intel Core i7 720QM 18.4" 1080p display 6GB DDR3 1066Mhz NVIDIA GTS 360M, 1Gb GDDR5 Blu Ray combo drive Built-in webcam and microphone (works great on Vent and EvE voice) Windows 7 64-bit
Weighs about 11 lbs. It is a desktop replacement. 60fps with all the goodies turned up to high settings. I'm lovin' it. -- Nah, that's just my Asperger's kickin' in.

Holy ****! That is not a happy number.
I'd rather buy and Alien ware. Same/Better tech, and glowy keyboards! It doesn't get better than that!
I forgot the glowy trackpads! Welcome to EVE. |

For that kind of money I can build my own top of the range desktop and not have to worry about touchpads and such cra ppola. This product fails at being anything more than bling

This. For that money I did build a high end computer with two monitors. And no stupid worthless touchpad.
Surrender is still your slightly less painful option. |

For the same price as what you paid for that beast you could have built a gaming rig that blows that laptop out of the water along with a full featured notebook with a decent nvidia/ati graphics card. But hey as long as your lovin it.

Glad you like it, but you better be sitting outside 90% of your gaming time for this to be worth it... :)

Edited by: Guillame Herschel on 17/03/2010 19:30:55 I live aboard my boat, so space is limited. That is why I did not choose a desktop. Of course a desktop would perform better. It'd have a better graphics chip for one thing. But I can close the notebook and stash it in a storage bin when I don't need it.
I also have a Core Duo Mac mini aboard, which runs the charting software. It also used to run my EVE client. So the Toshiba is a pretty significant upgrade for my EVE experience. Built-in mic and decent speakers means I don't need a headset for Vent, which is also pretty convenient for my situation.

The Toshiba has a backlit keyboard, don't worry. It's all good.
