Ok, I have been sorta following the MD forum section for a couple of months, and I have saved up a few bil to invest. But I don't know how I go about doing so.
I am at a loss on how to do this, so if there is anyone out there that is willing to give me a hand please either post here or mail me in game.
For those of you who will "hijack" this post with negative comments, your only reply will be by a GM.....
willing to invest with ONLY solid IPO's, not any loans please....
thanks for your time

Explain how you know an IPO is solid.

The BSAC Exchange offers you the only real-time stock Exchange. There are many BSAC and non-BSAC IPOs listed in the Exchange. You will need to research each offer to decide whether or not the investment is right for you. Visit the information desk to find out how to open an account. There are no trading fees.

There is currently an auction going on for shares in SOLID IPO's here: Linkage although I'd suggest you stay clear of AATPH as the CEO has a habit of changing terms and conditions whenever suits him.
As to being interested only in IPOs and not loans, are you including bonds under loans? If so, you will find yourself rather restricted as most offering on the forum are for bonds nowadays. Look for those that are 100% secured by collateral and these should be as safe as they come (often safer than IPOs).
Also, for future reference, the style of your original post was guaranteed to get the type of responses you got. GMs (by which I assume you mean moderators) are very unlikely to do anything at all about posts that are simply unhelpful. Welcome to MD and get used to people being less than useful if you phrase a help request in this kind of fashion.

This is where i disagree with raw , first time for everything. The only solid investment is one where YOU hold 110% collateral wich can not fluctuate in price too much.Everything else is NOT SOLID , the term you probably did mean was 'longer running ipo'.I currently have 76 bille invested in MD ipo's/loans yet i do not consider any of them to be solid , just see them somewhere between risky and reasonably safe.

Was trying to be ironic with the SOLID (just mirroring the OP, although I should have bolded and underlined rather than capitalising). Agreed that the only completely secure thing is to hold collateral oneself, but in the absence of this possibility ...

Ok point taken, I should have said "longer running" istead of solid, but its midnight here and the Bundy rum is flowing very well.........

I have the perfect opportunity for you. If you send me any amount of isk over 10 mil I'll send you back 3x as much! You can't go wrong here!
I've been looking for awhile too. There's a huge supply of money on MD and most IPO's get loaded up very quickly, especially the decent ones.

If you browse through the first two pages of MD you will find a lot of new IPOs, mostly by people with low credentials.
The problem with longer running IPOs is typically that they get neglected by the ceo over time due to some burnout / rl issue.
Anyway, I am managing an updated overview of some "solid" ipos on the market. Solid in this instance means that they have been traded among investors in the time since launch, so to some degree they are papers that investors have confidence in. -----------------------

gimme a billion and over a month i could guarantee a 10% roi.
i'm pretty solid but i don't know what an ipo is, perhaps a large creature that lives mostly in water perhaps.

Currently I am working on using a hulk however that will take about another month or more. I would like to jumpstart this and purchase a toon that can already use a hulk.
I am currently using a retreiver, which on a solid day of mining easily nets me over 5-10 million. A hulk on the other hand could easily net me 25 milllion or more. If i aim for mining at least 15 days a month, I will have no problem netting 350-400 million a month. A 1.5 billion loan at lets say 5% interest would be 75 million a month. The interest payments are easily made and around 6 months or sooner down the road the whole loan would be repaid. Mining will be done in high sec only.

Actually, I am doing the exact same thing!
Except, I am offering a 6% monthly interest.

Thanks. 1.5bil should suffice.

I am in need of a 250mil loan, this would be to secure a faction cruiser with a decent fitting, I will use the left over money to buy a Scyth cruiser and some miner II's and begin mining Velspar, not sure how long it will take to pay back cause I don't mine too often. but i would say by some calculations i did, with a 2% per month return on investment, 394 days, aprox 13 months time. if your interested in more details, contact me soon. offer won't last long
