Some time ago I was part of a starting corp that was going to try to produce frigs, mainly for corp use but some to sell. I got the BPO's for a few frigs, but shortly thereafter the CEO left and the corp died.
So now I have a few unresearched frig BPO's and was wondering what was the best way to try to regain some of what I spent or even, dare i say it make a profit.
Not sure the best way, but my options as i see them:
a) Just sell them cheep and take the losses? b) Queue up in an ME slot and try to sell later for a slight profit? c) Do b) them make/contract copies for inventors/etc...
And other ideas/option appreciated |

seeing how they are frig bpo's and therefore cheap. You could try to sell at slightly under market if you have no desire to do anything with them. you could train the skills to invent the t2 ships off them but you will either make very little isk off them, or go broke trying. You could research them, but the short research time for frig bpo's make resale kind of meh. You could produce off them, but don't do that until you have researched the me a little bit Pe if you want to but not needed.
You could do what I did with my frig BPO's I bought 3-4 years ago, research them put them in a can and forget you have them but haul them around with you everywhere you go. |

A while back, I was looking for a Rifter BPO but I was in Domain at the time. The only ones to be found were player sell orders in Amarr at the trade station there. Because of this, I'm pretty sure the ship blueprints are only seeded in their native regions. So, if they are popular ships, you might try taking them to a fairly major regional trade hub in a different region and put them up for sale there. You could almost certainly make back at least the cost of the print that way, though I really don't know about profit. ______________________________________________________ Isn't it enough to know that I ruined a pony making a gift for you? |

They really need to be researched, then put them up for auction in the relevant regions....I did something similair a while ago....where the frigs are from and you will deffinately make your money back, but you must research them first!

Do this, you will make a modest profit taking them to your own regional trade hub, just look at the market. Taking them to a foreign trade hub you could make a decent profit even unresearched, some people do this as a business.

Thanks for the input. Glad to see they can be of at least some use. I think I'll try the research angle and see where that leads for now.

If you just want to dump them, I'll take any Amarr, Minmatar, or Gallente frigate BPO (I have all Caldari) at the NPC sell price off your hands. Just contract them to me at any major trade hub.
One BPO of each frigate type that is.
