Hey guys,
I am flying Caldari with pretty decent missile and all shield support skills up to around 4. I fly a drake for pvp and started thinking about going for Battlecruiser to 5 then working on my leadership and warfare links and getting a command ship. This is a good 2 months of training.
On the other hand, but this time i can have Cruiser5 with decent gun skills for any other race. I am trying to figure out what I should do. Guardian is an option, as well as a Vengabond.
I want a training plan that would help me both in PVE and PVP so I am sort of at a loss as to what I should do.
Another option is going caldari BS to 5 and working on capital ships or something.
I am sorry this is a bit general, I just dont know the usefulness of the command ship, and how often a capital ships would actually be used and is worth getting.

BC 5 then cross-train.
Capitals are boring and should be trained on alts.

That was exactly my first instinct. BC5 is one of those skills that just makes crosstraining a piece of cake.
Unfortunately, so are gunnery support skills, and after looking at that set of skills.... Well, get some.
But BC 5 is indeed an awesome asset.

Thank you for the advice. I will train Logistics up first I think, then focus on BC, sidestep to leadership skills to be able to fly a command ship, and then start thinking about what race I should cross train to. I am thinking Amarr for the ships that do not use guns. (Guardian, Curse, Pilgrim).
I will train my gunnery support skills up once i decide im going to be using guns. no sense in doing it before i even chose a race.
Thank you for the input. any other suggestions accepted, like what race i should cross train to.

This, i consider some of my lvl 5 skills "very good" but BC 5 was best skill i've ever trained.

You got Shieldskills + Missiles. If you go for some gunnery, you can easily fly some minmatar BCs. And if you want to go into leadership and commandships anyway you might consider t2 bc of minmatar as well.

While reasonable on the surface, that's the wrong idea. Half of Caldari plus Khanid are the only ships that really make full use of missiles (with the exceptions of Stealth Bombers). And a few one-off ships.
Look, I know the gunnery tree looks pretty intimidating. It can be. But get some of those supports up. Maybe even try flying a Moa (which isn't advice I'd normally give anyone). But trust me, if you're used to Drakes, you're missing the gunnery aspect entirely. Been there; done that.
(Oh, and probably go Minmitar. The shield skills translate a bit more easily than Amarr and BC5 is simply wasted on Gallente anyhow.)

Haha, intimidating. My main flies a proteus so im familiar enough with gunnery skills. Just no sense to train them before i even know what i need to train =D
But yes i will have all my training done before i step foot in a ship.
