What's coming after Dominion? What will it contain? Is there a place where this info is available? Just curious.
I hear there's a feature to allow players to walk around the inside of a station? That would be interesting (if true).

The walking in stations feature is supposedly coming in the fall, but as it has been delayed so many times I wouldn't be optimistic.
The big thing for the next expansion will be planetary industry allowing you to build stuff using planet resources. ____________________________________________ When going to a party with wine, women, and song. Always ascertain the vintage of the first two. |

There are few "definitive" sources available ATM, 'cause CCP is writing code ATM.
However, two places where you can get a sense of things:
1) EVE INFO PORTAL: Sticky - Livin on a Prayer. You'll find a lot of speculation about what's to come.... some interesting, some meh...
2) TEST SERVER FEEDBACK: Sticky - Planetary Interaction. You'll find some commentary by the Devs, along with feedback, commentary, recommendations and speculation by folks who have taken the trouble to play around with the initial "stuff" tossed out onto SiSi.
Personally prefer #2. Would suggest that you take your time, read the posts, takes some notes and then go play around yourself. If you post something thoughtful, you might actually get an informed response from one of the Devs...
Have fun.

Since it never had a release date so far it can't be delayed . It will come soon (tm) and when it's ready.

You must be a dev¦s alt, as nobody ANSWERING questions in this forum believes you.

At least myself I know I'm not a dev's alt. I'm not sure if I could ever prove it tho.
I have the feeling you misunderstood my post or it was misleading.
In other words: To my knowledge there has never been any information given on when WIS will be released. When you have no date for something how can it be delayed then? It's all been uneducated guesses on when they will release it already and those getting delayed. Feel free to correct me. If there is a release date by now and I missed it then it's still not been delayed many times.

I think there is supposed to be some kind of tie in with Dust 514 and Planetary Resources.
For myself - while I can certainly see the purpose in Dust - I've never been able to fathom what anyone cares about WIS for. Unless it is in preparation for something like Dust In EVE - I can't see anything you can do with it other than make You Tube videos of people doing emotes.
*shrug*
Maybe CCP thinks there's some kind of Sims Online money to be made but then ... how many people playing EVE care about that?
I found some of the Dust presentation from last fan fest on You Tube and they were showing something that looked like a trophy room ... where you could walk through it with another persons avatar and show them the things you'd blown up ... Have these people even played a shooter before? Yes - I can imagine lots of people wanting to show their kills off - but I can't imagine anyone else caring to look - unless it was like a video of the kill. But some holographic presentation of a tank? What if he's killed 50 tanks. Is it going to have a little 50 below it or a stack of 50 holographic tanks? What if they get like hundreds of pieces of equipment? Those holograms seemed to take up a lot of space.
*sigh*
You look at things computer developers do and you think ... "What were they thinking ..."

Walking in station just isn't that important to me. I mean ok , it will be cool for about a week but after that it will cease to be interesting. It can't replace the stations services cause having to run around the station to get services that use to just be a click away will drag the experience out to a point that people don't want to do it.
Instead of wasting all the time and resources on making EVERY station walkable, just make the major trade hubs walkable. Dust and the tyrannis planet changes are important enough to move everything else off the table.

Isn't the point that CCP will get a lot more incremental revenue by appealing to the people who don't play EVE than the ones who do?If CCP did a lot of the nerfs, buffs, and ship reskinning discussed in these forums, how much extra revenue would they get? Perhaps WiS will appeal to some new customers; no idea but perhaps.

So it is literally inconceivable to you that there might be something interesting, fun or worthwhile to do in a station?

Like what?
Have you heard of something they're going to bring to the game with it or have something in mind?
I mean I've offered examples of the things I can think of but ... I can't really see making that much investment in the game just so people can do those things.
And as to trying to enlarge the player base with people from say ... The Sims ... I could believe that some game designer might think that was a good idea - but practically ... I really don't see that happening. You already have social interaction applications that are very well developed by a programming staff fully dedicated to that concept. What a bunch of space ship programmers is going to add to EVE that would draw people away from those other more socially oriented programs ... I can't see. Why would a player do something half assed in EVE that they can do in a game that is dedicated to that function. Yes. I can believe CCP might want to do that - I just think they're being stupid if they do. It all comes down to having a limited number of resources and putting those resources to work to a useful purpose.
Now - if what they are doing, is making use of the Dust code they've already written and trying to begin integrating that into EVE for the purpose of eventually having an FPS built into the game - that - I can see a point in. Having Space Marines blasting a hole in the sides of a station to create a breach, then fighting their way through it to try and evict the other players defending that station - that would be pretty cool.
I started playing Planetside in 2003 when it was new and played off and on for five or six years. I miss it though I don't miss what the morons at SOE turned it into. So I would really welcome a shooter. I just don't know whether The Sims or Planetside is where they're going with all this.
With apologies to all who've seen me post these links before ...
This is what I want: Art of the MCG
This is all I'm afraid we'll get (not that I don't think this video is funny): Oblivion Caramelldansen

Was just joking about dev¦s alts.
But what i do know is that this WIS is coming soon (tm). As there never was an exact date of release, they (ccp) now say its coming after planetary interaction (tyrannis). It should be the winter expansion.
But what i also know (and i do play eve since since 1,5 years) this theme is up since 3 or even 4 years, from reading more than one forum posts. If a real vet shows up, he might confirm, or proof me wrong. So it must be "delayed" somehow.
