For instance, Neuts, NOS, Scram, Disruptors...etc...etc...
Thanks Red

Nos works for the player, Scram and disruptors stop NPC's warping off (yes it does happen in belts) everything else works. not sure about tracking disruptors, but they probably do also.

Thanks. I thought I remember a post somewhere about certain modules not working on NPC's and a waste of time on PVE loadouts.

That's pretty much entirely false. Nos does work a little bit for players, but NPCs have a (small) fixed amount of cap so it's not really like nosing a player at all. Nos/neut also affects how NPCs repair armor/shield; with less cap they are less likely to boost as often.
Scrams and disruptors don't stop NPCs from changing belts. Also, pretty sure scrams don't turn off NPC MWDs.
All other e-war works.

Edited by: Seriously Bored on 23/03/2010 21:28:18 Neuts work on NPCs by reducing the chance that they will repair shields or armor. Not worth worrying about in normal circumstances, but there are a few rats out there that people commonly think require a massive blob to kill, when neuts do the job.
AFAIK, scrams and disruptors work on NPCs, but they valiantly fight to the death anyway, so...
Everything else works like it does against normal players, I believe.
ED: Consult the post above mine. He seems to be more in the know.

Your points: * Scrams keep npcs from warping (they don't) * Nos works like it does on a player (it doesn't) * Tracking disruptors might work idk (they do)

Scrams stop Sleepers from MWDing. I don't know about other rats... __________________

Not all disruptors/scrams work for all npc's. Ive had several NPC's warp off while ive had a Scram and a disruptor on them.

I know that using WCSs don't stop sleeper scraming. That poor test Cruiser...

Edited by: Fifinella on 24/03/2010 06:28:58 Scrams work on at least some belt rats, and yes, belt rats do occasionally "warp" off.
If you run into a belt rat patrol that has "big" and "small" ships (say, for example, frigs and battleships), and kill the little ships, the big ones sometimes warp off into a different belt (they don't need the run-up for a warp, they simply disappear). Scrambling them prevents this.
And yes, they do "warp" to a different belt: You can shoot a rat into half armor before it runs off and a moment later run into the same rat, still at half armor, in another belt.
Nossing works to a small degree: Rats have a set amount of nossable cap. This is less than comparable cap on a player ship, but can be sucked out regardless of your relative cap levels.
ECM works, but has a set chance (IIRC 50%) regardless of your skills or modules. Conversely, rats have a set chance (this depends on which rat it is) of jamming you, regardless of your sensor strength. Also, worth noting that at least belt rats (and IIRC mission rats, too. Haven't tried Sleepers) will agro the jamming ship once the jamming stops, regardless of whom they were shooting at before.

i belive he said the Nos works for the PLAYER not the NPC. Scrams work on Some RATS! (sleepers anyone?)
