So, I just recently came back (had started palying before dominion but left shortly after for the money) and started up my account again. I still had my low SP minmatar and started flying around again gawking at all of the new non-2d planets. Awsome job on that by the way. The question is coming, dont worry. I got out of a station, and my entire screen just got covered with mechanical parts. Upon scrolling out, I realised that the thing blocking my screen, was a Hulk mining ship. I've figured that they would be bigger, but I could never tell by how much in the market window. But now, seeing how big that thing was comapared to my low level T1 frigate...it was insane. I kind of just stared at it for a few minutes wishing I had something that big.
So now my question, how long would it take to start going for something that big? Is it more of a question of moeny than what skills your trained in? I want something like that, but something more about combat then mining. What ship should I shoot for? If I were to start pirating, would a larger ship be worth it? Or stick with a smaller fast one?
Thanks in advanced, Extorner |

There's all sorts of big ships out there. What kind of big ship and how big do you want it.

Most PvP is done in frigate and cruiser class hulls. A frigate is the best way to learn. The larger ship, the more expensive, slower, and vulnerable to smaller ships it is.
Battlecruisers and Battleships are also used, but rarely solo without support.
T2 Frigates includes:
* Covert Ops (scouts) * Stealth Bombers * Assault Ships * Electronic Attack Ships (unpopular)
The next step up from there, racial Cruiser 5, opens up lot of T2 ships:
* Heavy Assault Ships (HACs) * Heavy Interdictors (HICs) * Recons * Logistics * Strategic Cruisers (T3)
Some people never train higher, and often train frigates and cruisers of multiple races.

Well, I think I'm going to stick with smaller ships for pirating, if thats true that means the Hulk and other barges will be alot more vulnerable to those small frigates. Thanks for all the replies, helped alot. Another thing this did, was put the wars where a titan would be involved into a whole new perspective...would be un-beleaveable to see one of those, let alone own one. But I'm going to stick with the frigates, and make a goal of getting to fly a battleship, and a covert-ops because I'm hearing good stealth things about them. Thanks again guys.

There's a Leviathan in orbit around Caldari Prime in Luminaire. It's part of the back story and is perfectly benign.

Thanks again for all the replies guys. And yea, I probably will **** bricks. Thanks for the link, I saw an outdated version, but nothing compares to seeing it in game. Thanks.
