It seems the main problem is that people expect to find things and get loot. This is where the problem occurs. Said player goes through an hour session of scanning, finds nothing good, exploration is clearly broken.
Here is what is actually going on. We're NOT supposed to find anything, at all, ever. So now when you scan for an hour and find nothing, its working as intended. If for some odd reason something seemingly useful does actually pop up on your scanner (you may want to petition this if it does occur, as it should not have happened), remember, it's a grav site.
Keeping that in mind, when you do find a bug (also called ded sites), you should now be much happier and excited than you would have been before under the assumption that you ARE supposed to find things. Exploration is now not only fixed, but awesomesauce.
Basically, exploration is fine. It's people's perceptions of it that is broken.
In the beginning, the Universe was created. This has angered numerous people for many different reasons and is widely considered as a 'bad move'. |

Long-winded, idiotic, uninsightful posts like these are why we need a "dislike" button. |

True, but posting that would only get the thread locked

Apparently so, since most of the Eve population doesn't seem to understand this basic fact, so it would be quite insightful for them. |

I don't know, I've never actually seen the OP's take on the subject, maybe I'm not forum whoring enough.
It's pretty badly written and could be a lot funnier, but the essence of the idea - that exploration is a lot more fun if you go in expecting to find nothing and are pleasantly surprised when you do - is certainly true.
Hell, this can be applied to many aspects of the game. When roaming, I tell myself I'm taking a scenic tour of New Eden, and holy **** if something shows up in my way I can shoot than gee willikers, it's my lucky day, who wouldathunkit?

Glad to see some people understanding what I'm trying to say. I can see the 'beating the dead horse' idea, and I am indeed not helping that, but how is anyone supposed to change that at this point?
While possibly poorly worded and not funny to all, I do stand behind my original idea. The game is working well imho, but some people will see what they want.
If you agree or disagree, all ideas are welcome. In the beginning, the Universe was created. This has angered numerous people for many different reasons and is widely considered as a 'bad move'. |
