My standing with the Gals is worse than -5 (FacWar) I want to improve this so that I can fly around their high sec space without issues. From what I've been able to figure out is CCP changed things around so that even if your standing are worse than -2 with a faction you can run level courier missions for them.
I can get in to Amarr, Caldari and Matar high sec. I would like the missions to stay in high sec as far as possible. I know very little about running missions. I've gotten as far as finding the above mentioned agents and eve-agents.
What type of agent am I like looking for. I'm gonna assume Distribution. Please correct me if I'm mistaken.

What would be the best ship to use for this. I was thinking nano Badger Mk II so that I have enough cargo space and I can use autopilot.

You should be able to use any level 1, Quality 0-or-lower - courier or otherwise, I believe.
As for which to use, I'm pretty sure this is still accurate:

If you haven't trained it yet, train diplomacy, it'll help a bit and make less faction standings for you to have to grind.

You could do missions for a related faction if they are not also too low. Raising SoE or Minmatar will increase Gallente as well. Keep in mind this will lower your satndings with Amarr / Caldari and yes you CAN end up having everyone hate you.
