Been trying to search the forum and most related info I find is that it can take a long time for sites to respawn.
Question, do I need to clear all sites in the WH so new ones will spawn, does a WH have a pre generated site list? Or does sites spawn in a WH completely random and will pop up even if I don't touch any site at all?
Right now my WH is almost completely dried out except a small gas cloud im too lazy to warp to and finish

Sleeper sites (both the anomalies and the cosmic signature sites) have the exact same spawn / despawn mechanics as their normal-space equivalents. Basically sleepers are the NPC faction for wormhole space so it spawns those kinds of sites, but uses the same mechanics.
So when you finish a site, it respawns elsewhere in the constellation / region. Of course, there's no gates in wormhole space so that's largely meaningless but that's how it works.
Best thing to do is set up in a wormhole system that has a static link to the class of system you're interested in - you do most of your sites in that system and not your home system.

Ok, thanks for the information. Guess it will be a waiting game then, the medium POS is setup in a WH with a static high-sec exit and a C1 WH which is so far always occupied by alot of stuff so been leaving those alone for now.
Just the 7 anomolys that was in it paied for the POS fuel for a long time from the salvage so I am quite happy with that so far and as long as there will be alot more sites over the course of the next few weeks it's all good.
Also read about WHs that dry out, do they actually do that and eventually vanish to create a new one "somewhere"? Or do you just need to hang in there because sites do always spawn, eventually?

Set up a pos and sites don't seem to come back. You'll have to jump to a connecting wh and raid next door. I just moved into a wh and already experiencing that in less than a week

Edited by: Dunamar on 14/05/2010 10:41:07 That theory about cleared sites spawning 'somewhere else' is just that, a theory. Its hard if not impossible to prove it. How can you prove your cleared killsite just spawned somewhere else? Its not like you can cover all the WH space out there and eye witness the appearance of a killsite the moment it despawned in your W-space.
As for the WHs drying out, well...could be only the impatience of the inhabitants. It sure has up and downs, days with no spawns at all, days with couple of spawns only or days when you wake up having lots of sites to do.
I live in a C3 that was colonized just after they were introduced. It produced billions and it's still producing. There are still sites spawning. And when my activity is up and I clear them faster than the natural re-spawn rate, I raid whatever connection I have: lowsec mostly, sometimes a nullsec or another WH.

Not true. Sites respawn over time. Some days can be a lot, then other days nothing. From experience the higher activity in the constelation your system in, the higher the respawn rate in your system though. The best is to have a system with a static to another wspace. Do the sites in whatever system that you spawn to, collapse the exit and do another. Thing is, a lot of wspace been colonized though, so get the feeling you have a higher chance to find a system inhabitated by others than one that is prime to harvest.

The POS has no effect on spawns, it just matters how much they get run. I have a POS set up in a system and it continues to steadily spawn new sites. I usually run the annoms, mag, and radar sites as soon as they pop up so that anyone who visits my system while I'm gone doesn't get them. I find that most casual raiders don't mess with the grav and ladar sites so I can let those sit till I feel like clearing and mining them. I have never gone more than a day without new sites popping up.
If pickings are a little slim in my system I just raid the static C2 or run plexes in the lowsec exit. It is extremely rare that I have nothing to do.
One bit of advice I have is that while a highsec static is great for logistics you will find that your system gets visited by every noob with a probe launcher. A lowsec static greatly improves security by keeping out most casual raiders. Logistically it is a little trickier but you are usually only a jump or two from high and can often find times when the systems are empty. Perfectly safe if you don't just hang about. (Unless your static opens to Amamake one day, that was fun. )
