Ok so on EFT / Meep / EvEMon etc, does the host or team that manage these apps get your API info even if they dont check it at first, I checked my logs and it only has my IP on so while it isnt checked atm by other people do they still have access to my API?
If this thread gets locked I will so be ****ed

I've not seen EFT, MEEP and EvEMon steal an API key yet. Even so, I'm too paranoid to put my full API key in anything I didn't completely write myself. "The thread-locks will blot out the sun!" "Then we will post in the shade!"

Yeah I am like that too, while I am on topic about this what does a Full API give when the char is a director / CEO and how is it different from limited, alot of alliances require the corp CEO to give full API and I was wondering why full > limited?

full just gives them info about wallet, corp history, market transactions, etc. Essentially, the only thing the API key's give you is information, limited just give skills and related info while full gives pretty much everything...

your API is pretty safe with evemon or evehq .or all of that other stuff - Look at it this way. Back in 'the day' you used to need to give your actual login/password to evemon.
Trust me, now its infinitely safer anyway. (besides, are you really that worried about people seeing your stuff?)

Full API allows access to a lot of corp data. You can pretty much get a full listing of what key is needed for what here. "The thread-locks will blot out the sun!" "Then we will post in the shade!"

If you're a CEO/Director, the full API gives access to basically all information about your corporation, including standings, assets, and anything else that the API exposes.
This page explains what you can get with a Limited/Full API. The corporation APIs are based on roles; but CEO/Director allows access to all.

This game centers around information, really. I'd hate to give anyone more information on me than they absolutely need. Where's me tinfoiled hat?
heavens forbid that 'someone'... evemon's devs.. (unless they sold it to the highest bidder..) had your api key? I mean, really.. i am not worried..

Worried? No. But I do keep it in mind always. The less people you trust, the longer your pod may last. "The thread-locks will blot out the sun!" "Then we will post in the shade!"
