I see they are inspired by what is happening on Galnet. ----

Some people have serious issues.
On behalf of Canada I would like to apologize, and invite you all up here for a conciliatory gathering of Voyageur sing-alongs, maple syrup chugging, and baby seal clubbing. If you're really lucky, you may be treated with a presentation of dry, yet unfailingly good-natured political humour.

My wife says they have some great sexy-time clubs like The Bovine Club up in Toronto.

Incidentally, this is what ended up happening. The IP was traced to Calgary. Evidently in Canada this kind of threat is considered a federal offense, and yes, the real internet police have been notified.
Well done TEARS. No, I really mean it. People that cant differentiate between in game actions and out of game actions need to be reminded that Concord controls your in game actions, and the police control your out of game actions.
Breaking one set of laws results in your internet spaceship getting digitally sploded, the other results in a RL fine or prison time.

coming from someone with a criminal law background, and who's a resident of canada, this is what i have to say: nothing is going to happen to this guy out of game. it's going to be pretty much impossible to prove this fellows mens rea (mental aspect, ie intention), and you can't compare objectiveness (what another reasonable person would of done) from his actus reus (actions) since it's a freaking video game. lol. unless he's actually DONE something to your website and you have reasonable proof, that's it. i don't even think ccp will do anything.

i don't know why he used that term either.. meta game is a strategy where you anticipate what your opponent thinks your going to do, or what you/your group are/is thinking and you come up with a counter for their counter.
example: i assume X corporation thinks i am using falcons, so they might bring vagabonds/interceptors/eccm rr bs's w. sentry drones (maybe)/counter ecm..., so i field a curse and/or rapier to counter their small ships or neut their bs's wich could be rr'ing...
huge example, but it's kind of a complex idea.

(It's game. It's ok to get worked up occasionaly, but threatening RL action is just plain silly.)

You WILL pay Escrowbar the sum of 20 Million ISK within 2 days or attacks will commence on your website and ALL weak little php based installs. Already I have obtained administrator usernames, and emails. but have not started the attacks. 20 million should cover the amount of ore stolen from me and then some. A drop in the bucket to you and me but this is based on principle. Attacks will start in 2 days and will continue until brainbeat.org is taken down and your sys admins can not afford the bandwidth. We will also spam your boards to the point where normal use will have to go through too many loops and security checks where your users will not even want to go there. All attacks will be initiated from wardrived locations and will be untracable. On that note. You may want to change your kill board passwords >:) 2 days little [censored]. Remember. You can take this site down, get a new one, but I WILL follow you. Us Miners spend hours zapping rocks being bored. I can spend that time mining or [censored] with your installs.
Seriously people... it's a game?
Is that his main's name? That's... not smart. Untracable indeed.
Oh also, you might want to consider turning off directory listing and upgrading Apache on brainbeat.org.
And dare I ask why there's FrontPage extensions installed? - Paknac Queltel

Back in the year 2000, when i was all of 13 years old I would play starcraft on battle.net
Sometimes, to mess with somebody I would type things like
***Virus uploading...30%*** ***Virus uploading...40%*** etc. ***Virus uploading...100% - complete. Activating***
You know, like in the movies.(and remember.. 13y/o)
Some people would really freak out and/or log off.
Today, it's 2010 and apparantly this still happens!

Lol basketball does this all the time. Its called shaqing cause shaq can't hit a free throw to save his life and causes game winning turnovers
