Ok, I remember bits and pieces of this old-ass sci-fi movie back when I was a kid in the early to mid 90's. Based on the quality, it HAD to be made in the late 70's or early 80's. It was cheesiness taken to an extreme level by our high-tech standards today.
Basically, everyone is partying and having a good time on a ring-like space station until it gets overrun by gigantic mutating alien space blobs with tentacles. They have two legs and walk like humans but slowly. I THINK they look like a mutated Sesame Street character but I can't seem to remember which one.
In the end, I think someone sacrifices himself and stays on the station in order to save everyone else as it's on fire and flying endlessly through space.
Does anyone remember this gem? Sorry I couldn't provide more information, it was a really long time ago. ____________________

You, sir, are a genius.
I tried some search terms but just couldn't get it.
Spot on, thanks! Will add to Netflix immediately.

Wow, even older than I thought. The late 60's is when it was released. Damn! ____________________

OK, since the OP got his answer, maybe someone will know this one:
It was a live action movie (probably 80's) of robots who were running from some sort of authority. There were "young" and "old" robots, android types and one that looked like a tank or something. They ran on battery packs. Towards the end of the movie, the "old guy" robot, pulled out his battery pack and gave it to the young one, so he could get away.
I would love to see this again, if only I knew the name of it. :(

I got one i want to find to.
There is a research ship(ocean going, not space) that get hit by a massive bolt of lightning. It turns out to be a alien computer virus that not only take over the ship, it start to intergrate the crew into the ships machines and weapons.
When i saw it on TV i was young and thought it was scary as hell and only watched about the first 30 min. Now i want to see it! ________________________________________________ Tau - Yeah we suck in close combat. To bad you will never get there. For the greater good!!
