Edited by: Emma Royd on 14/04/2010 19:48:31 Hi, I've posted this here as well but the dev suggested posting in the Mac area.
I'm having a problem using the forum on my iPhone, I can view fine but when I come to log in, I go through the first user/password fine, enter the character name ok, but then it doesn't log me in.
It works fine if I use it through my home wifi, but not if I use the 3G (Orange UK)
Anyone else having a problem or do I have to try and sort it out with orange :( as the phone can obviously do the security stuff fine but not over the mobile side.

I work for a mobile provider/isp - not based UK - and i've seen these issues before - just with hotmail and facebook logins.
Most likely the APN(access point name) you're currently using does not support SSL(the login is a https page) encryption. We have the same issues where im working, the only solution in our end is to use a different APN on your gprs connection.
a google search reveals that orange uses the following APNs: "orangewap" and "orangeinternet" - you are most likely using orangewap(which is similar to my company's setup by the looks of it - ours are just called "wap" and "internet") In the iphone under the 3g netowrk you should be able to write the other apn - if they require additional information like username and password, please refer to orange costumer service - it also requires your subscription plan has access to the other APN.
this is not a defect in eve forums, but in the way your carrier handles SSL data connections on that particular apn you're using.
