Does it have to be something that might actually make it into the game in the next couple of years, or whatever we want from it even if unlikely to happen this decade ?
Because if the latter... Newtonian flight model (with flight assist like in Independence Wars including all their autopilot settings) for non-warp travel, line-of-sight weapons, collision damage and realistic damage models from weapon impacts, subsystems damage, energy rerouting, formation flying... well, basically dump the current physics engine and replace it with an upgraded version of the IW2 engine.

-EVE Arena -Hangars that I can partition any way I like -Drone fix -Blaster fix -Rocket fix -Docking game fix -Remove warp to zero and replace with a skill that allows you to warp closer to the gate depending on how high you train the skill -Give every item in the game the ability to be sold on the market... except black market items which can only be sold in low sec or 0.0 markets. -Make it so neutral repping causes aggression -Swap speed penalty of Armor Rigs with... anything else. Maybe a shield penalty. -Make cloaks deplete a ships capacitor when turned on, except on ships that have a bonus to cloaking. -Capital ships becoming the centerpiece of a fleet instead of fleets of capital ships -Remove Jump Bridges or quadruple the cost of using them -Make mining more interactive rather than push laser and sit back for 20 minutes until roid is empty.
-many many many more things that I can't recall atm.

None of this is likely to happen but...
- More Space. Triple or more the amount of systems of all types. Space should be BIG.
- No Gates. Or at least leave them in (for auto-piloting I suppose), but allow all ships to jump from system to system (and to any celestial in the destination system).
- Buff PVE. I know PvP is a big part of this game, but the PVE has been neglected for far too long. It's in very bad shape. |

Jumps drive on all ships. Spaceships physics. Let the submarines sink. Grouped weapons firing mode. Barrage and Salvo. Fleet formations. Walking in stations. Better manual control of ship. I just want to be able to set an heading, elevation and velocity manually. Don't force me to look around and fiddle a way around the giant-spaceship-stuck-in-the-center-and-blocking-the-spot-I-want-to-click-on. Dynamic music ambiance. some randome ideas
I was looking on a few forms and noticed that some people were saying that the learning skills were a pain in the bit for he eve devlopers and that if there were a way to get rid of them hey would be gone. Well I have thought of a way... Players pleas don't hate me for this. Make a facility like where you get your clones or fix your ship and when you go to it and select a atreibutte and if the attribute is over 10 due to learning skills. The attribute is then set to 10 and all the SP was used to train is refunded and then used to insta train skills to the total of sp refunded, once all the attributes have been set to 10 the player gets a free nural remap. With all his skills set to a base of 10 you get 8 points to play with (or what ever number is decided). 10 base + 5 implants + 8 extra will give every skill an average of 17 points each. This way will sucesfully help narro the SP gap between new and old players as well as not waisting the old players training/play time. When starting a new character the new players attributes are 10 and they have 8 poi ts to play with on ther first 2 free nural remaps. When this new facility is installed to correct your attributes you make it only avalable for a limited time and when the time is up and people have not taken advantage of the service here attributes are reset for them and they lose out on the refunded SP.
I also hav a idea for new players. I tryed to get a friend into eve and he liked the ge but when he would leave the station and adventure people would take advantage of his noobness like can sawping/targeting him hopeing he will shoot/fleeting with him to warp to him and kill him. Do t get me wrong I don't mind a bit of fun but after a free 14 day tryal and all you do is get taken advantage of you are a bit hesatant to shell out $14 to have 30 more days of abuse. For people switching from WOW to eve the learning curve is mind blowing so here is my sugestion. When you make a new character you get a starter ship that ROCKS and can be fitted to the 9s with all sorts of great things that shows the true power of some of the more advanced ships in the game BUT the ship will not last In he harsh enviroment that is space and only lasts 1-2 weeks giving players time to train into a nice ship with limatations. Because once there almost invincable ship has decintagrated into nothing they will want It back and thirst for supreme power once again. This way people will not take advantage of newbies because one shot from this amazing ship is not worth the risk. But after your 1-2weeks is up or you leave your ship poof it's gone. And so people don't just make a new character to get his ship to scrwe people make the character deletion time WAY longer.
Well that's my 2 eve ideas hope someone likes them

A lot of people have already stated some of the things I'd like to see... regardless, here's my list:
- More options with regards to drones like implants and rigs. And personally, I'd like to see something where you can fit mods on your drone or something... making them irreplaceable and worth your time to pull them in. - Fix blasters (or a revamp with Gallente ships in general) - Fix rockets - Make a fix so docking games become rare - Make it so neutral repping causes aggression - Make self-destructing cause an AOE damage effect... with bigger ships having a larger and more devastating effect. - Make stars bigger... MUCH bigger... and make them interactive. Say, you can mine gas or certain elements from one... and make it perilous to do so (random solar flares). - put low-sec between ALL empires, isolating markets and making it both dangerous and worth your while to haul crap around. - Change the dynamics within Faction Warfare. For example: make plexing give you LP and occupying a system give the fighting faction small bonuses to armor and shields (just throwing ideas out there) - Make the tax on people in NPC corps rise for every week (say, 2%?) they stay in the NPC corp; said tax increase doesn't reset when you leave the NPC corp and rejoin - Close the loophole that allows people to jump corp when they receive a war dec and found a new one - T3 frigates _______________________

Most of these points - if not all - will never happen. Ok, maybe CCP will remove local in deep and pirate space and maybe the insrrances will be removed for concord kills (they are adjusting insurrances in the next expansion..) but the rest will most likely never happen! And you can be darn sure that we will have Incarna..

A mining overhaul and a cleaning up of all inconsistencies existing in the game. More background fluff, more variety in missions and other locations, more significance of where you are and who you are aligned to, more dynamic world changes following overarching storylines with partially influence of player actions, generally more substance to the world instead of more and more expansions with new content that fail to have depth by themselves and get ignored for more expansions in the width and not depth.
Every existing feature needs more of itself instead of more new features with the same lacking substance of a just conceived concept. Every feature needs to be deep enough that you can fully immerse yourself in it with more awesome the deeper you go. --------

- Bring back the Warp effect and sound of a time before Apocrypha - Make Mining Lasers quieter... *argh!!* - Remove the choir in Amarr stations (SERIOUSLY) - As it was said before, some sort of advanced flying controls, on top of what exists today - Incarna connection to DUST (like maybe in a station, on a screen, you can see a battle on a planet from the eyes of a player) - Visible hull damage when armor fails, like the plating rips off and you can see inside, or like the part of the ship burning at impact point of gun fire (laser or projectile) - 25% Structure left disables warp core (engineering hit for some reason - could be countered with new stabilizer item you have in cargo) - If ship is destroyed, the model kinda breaks into some big chunks, which then remain visible at wreck location - Manual warping to places by simulating a gravity well at destination location (as a gravity well is required for the EVE warp drive to lock on to). - BARREL ROLL!!! - Side thrusters for maybe "strafing" in space - could become in handy in battles, but can not be used indefinitely - Need For Speed like customization of ship hulls. Add own textures or apply different paint color

Id like to have Gascloud harvesting in Mining Ships. Stations of Players should also get the chance to look like Mining stations of NPCs. Player Created Missions. CCP Stopping this useless pressure to players for more PVP True mechanics and physics: a gimpy frigatte should never be able to destroy a battleship no matter of skills since a 20 meter frig shouldnt be a danger for 900 meter ship. Players creating companies and corps based on slavework or employees of NPC characters. Bigger ships should have a crew of NPC based on payment and skilling of them. Officially stock exchange should be implemented for gamer corps based on their turnover which must be public. the Bountyhunter profession should be brought into game. Criminals moving through empires should be huntable in highsec. More dept and detail of NPC convoys. Blackmarket availability. More faction stuff (ranks, titles, and possibilities based on faction) Planets and other orbital stuff should be physical. e.g. Flying in warp through a planet should no be possible. Jump drives on all ships. A bit more dept on Smuggling profession. Chance to also do reverse engineering and creating blueprints. More Research possibilities for non corp solo players. Daytrading on materials. and thousand things more. --- Honker:"Damn! Ok, I'll go and loot my wife now..." --- HighSec Gankers? Well, every world has its psychpaths. |

Hmm, more dynamic PvE content.
I've seen it mentioned before but things like random, sporadic distress calls in Local from NPC ships/convoys under attack from pirates. Anyone who wanted to investigate, could choose to help pirates or help NPCs, complete with dialog interaction, variable loot (depending on either side), and of course standings increase/decrease with either side. Maybe even more perks than that, depending on who you continually help with over a period of time. Maybe a beacon will spawn to allow people to warp to said instance, and maybe it can escalate?
Going from there, more random spawning beacons that have NPC agents/characters asking for a task to be done maybe. Or even pirates, too. Maybe they won't talk to you unless you have some prerequisite - like high standings, or an item.
Maybe depending on what ship is bought to assist either party will determine also what else might happen, once PC character(s) have agreed to assist. If player fleet of 5 battlecruisers agree to help stranded NPC courier, who asks that you bring them spare engine parts from associate agent in 5 jump away station, then if they come under attack, it would be based approximately on fact that you brought 5 battlecruisers to location, etc.
Vary the spread and difficulty/loot of random spawned instances based on position/station/region/politics.
Where's the variation in agent missions, like logistics, tackling, ECM? For exmaple, where are the agent missions that ask you to keep an NPC envoy alive by remote repping them while under heavy fire, etc. And if you engage the hostiles, large numbers of reinforcements arrive that target you (or the envoy!! like, serious DPS). Stuff like that would be cool. Orrr.. I don't know, an infamous pirate that you need to tackle for X amount of time in a certain location with ship class restrictions or something, so it's not silly, while you await small npc faction navy to arrive on scene to arrest/deal with them (and you're *not* allowed to shoot pirate or something, just tackle). These are just random ideas, not absolute scenarios.
Co-Op/tandem missions where 2 separate people (or fleets, whatever) have to simultaneously do related missions in certain amount of time, in order for next part of mission to open/continue. Or some other form of impact if the simultaneous missions either succeed or fail. Like, group A holds off marauding group of attackers, while group B escorts NPC to acceleration gate/beacon, etc. Or, group A is tasked with taking out NPC force, but if group B don't deal with NPC scout contingent before they warp off, group A suddenly has to deal with overwhelming reinforcements (and the two player groups would be a couple of systems apart for example, to keep it interesting).
Just some food for thought..

I'd like a few things that should be possible to implement (though may take a bit of effort and time);
To be able to fly from one system to another without the use of gates, I know it would take a damn long time to get anywhere but I just like the idea of flying to places manually when I want to sit back and relax a little.
An option for a ****pit view with manual flight controls (I know it could be a real pain to implement but it would be a nice option to have). Not a drastic thing but just a nice UI tweak to allow a bit of difference in visuals and control.
The ability to contract the NPC convoys to transport your goods; it'll give them more of a purpose and create another ISK sink.
A few more skins for current ships; rather than allowing users to make their own skins, have a pallet of set templates and colour variants that can be applied to your ships (I believe this one has been brought up quite often). It shouldn't be too difficult to implement and wouldn't cause much more strain on the server.
The return of ship propulsion trails (hopefully we'll get this back when they sort out the lag issue and other bits).
This next one is a bit complex, possibly not a good idea either as it could cause serious chaos and would be hell to implement;
The security of systems adapting depending on the type & frequency of activities that go on within them. Certain systems of course would be locked (such as starting systems + surrounding area & major trade hubs) but the rest would shift security meaning asteroid belts, wormholes & concord activity (possibly agents as well) would change frequently.

A return to a cold, harsh universe.
- Asteroids should be labeled as asteroids until scanned.
- Hidden, but thriving black markets where certain goods, modules, even ships are found here and nowhere else. All these goods are illegal and thus if brought into high security space, are flagged as such with penalties of confiscations, fines, and security loss. Perhaps have these markets found through probing and move around daily, every few days, or weekly. And while they are in low, or null sec space, there are enough station armaments to deter pod pilots from attempting to "own" them - the market is a safe haven among itself.
- Greater proliferation of substance abuse among pod pilots. If we followed a military path in the game, we've killed hundreds of thousands, if not millions, of people aboard ships (following the lore). While a pod pilot is cold and emotionless, all those haunting may one day strike back and make a pod pilot crawl into a fetal position in agony. A bit of the illegals eases the pain...
- Getting podded does not allow that pilot to be active for 24 hours. This allows the victors a small time to enjoy the spoils of war.
- A gradual decrease of the security level per system with inactivity in PVP combat that subtly influences nearby systems. As an example, if nobody PVPed in Jita, the system would eventually drop to a 0.7 with Perimeter being casually influenced. A few freighters getting ganked in Jita and the security climbs back to 0.8 since Concord is patrolling the area more than normal. While this would need to be fleshed out further, I can see some border low security space raising into high security while some backwater high security space falling into low security. To avoid abuse, maybe this change is monthly - just an idea.
- Once a pod pilot travels the road to negative security status, forever will he or she is labeled as such. "I've killed hundreds of pod pilots, but now I killed some pirates so I'm a good guy now!" Yea right.
- Direct transactions, or through personal contracts, of goods, modules, and ships between pod pilots of drastic security differences should carry a stiff penalty in terms of ISK and slowly lowering the security status of the party with positive ratings. While I have nothing against pilots with low to extremely low security rating, it does seem a bit daft that their Jita BuyHighSellLow alt gets them all their needs without penalty to either pilot.
- War declarations against individual people similar to a vendetta.
More ideas if they pop into my head...

So if you get ganked you can't play the game for a day? Sounds a little extreme for someone who pays to play the game to get swarmed every 24 hours. I think it should be something a bit more fair... somewhere more around the lines of you are unable to take part in combat activities for half an hour after losing your pod, plus a one minute undocking lock after awaking in a new pod.
Edit:

This one sort of falls in line with the idea I mentioned, just a reverse that would impact almost all systems.
So no combat activity would cause 0.0 systems to raise in security meaning miners in those areas would eventually end up losing their high-grade minerals and superior rats, while people suiciding in 1.0 systems would cause security to drop until a point where suicide would no longer be needed. I'd say probably a 0.5 difference would be the limit on alterations. Certain systems like starting areas and major trade hubs would be locked in their security levels to allow people to have at least some peace (I know lots of people would like to make Jita a PVP zone but it wouldn't have much benefit, trade would just move to somewhere else).

Additional to what i read from the poster under my thread:
What about missions that involve protection of vessels requiring PCs to fit Remote Repair Systems.
Nice as change would also be the way missions are given out atm. By asking you receive one mission. Which sometimes doesnt fit. It is not about comfortability. It is about the process itself. Agents only should give out special missions more in accordance to their profession, while a public mission port is available on stations/constellation/region/empire.
It is honestly not fitting into the worlds greatest online universe that there about like 40 missions and missioneers just repeat and repeat repeat ... Bring certain random factors like NPCs using drones/smartbombs and other devicves players can use. Bring in some internal running counter for certain missions grading up their difficulty to the player when he has finished the mission like 5 or 10 times - this would keep the missions interesting.
