Hi, my name is Sobaan, and I want to throw out a friendly reminder to all you Eve mongols. CCP's regulation on isk selling has a negative impact on families in Asia. I'm not going to show you a picture of a starving Chinese kid, but it's important to realize how this 'game' effects people. China is undergoing the largest migration in human history, people from the countryside moving to the industrializing coast. As many of you know, their cheap labor market means that half of your products tags will read "Made in China." These migrant workers don't have homes like a lot of us to rely on when things go bad, and regulations on industry have meant hundreds of thousands of people losing their jobs in China. It's simple, CCP regulation is contributing to inhumane working and living conditions. It's an undeniable fact that ISK has a real world value. Trying to ignore this fact, and limit people's access to third-world isk, makes both our in-game world and the often very delicate lives of Migrant workers worse off. It's not a "real" currency, you might say, but since people work for it, and use it, and would trade it with another currency, CCP is effectively a private bank. Before most real currencies were nationalized (so that Governments could steal the value of our savings through inflation, no less) many banks worked just like CCP works now. CCP DOES sell isk for currency, and tries desperately to maintain a currency monopoly. For kids trying to make money in China, doing jobs that we don't want to (making toys, clothes, and isk) these regulations give them a serious setback. Remember that the majority do not cheat to make the isk they sell, a single dev's action can easily take away a kid's shelter and job food supply. For a lot of Eve players, these workers have a product we want, that they want to sell. This simple trade (just like Eve trading, no less) improves both of our conditions. But we often don't care, or just plain overlook these people's economic conditions. An entire isk making operation can get shut down over these major game changes. This puts migrating workers on the streets looking for jobs, often moving great distances to find them. Those with kids are brought up with extremely poor education and live in such living conditions that I won't even describe.
So, what's the point? Isk is but a drop in the ever growing Chinese economy. But Eve is our world, and we should stand for something. Allowing Isk sellers/buyers may not pull tons of Chinese out of poverty, but it definitely helps some. I beg you to partition developers for free trade, and the betterment of Asian standards of living.

Gotta give the troll credit.
That amount of raw stupidity on a single post is extremely hard to find. In fact the only other place I've seen comparable stupidity density was while reading a quote from that Palin's book. __________

The human race is evil on a very basic level, There is enough food for all the worlds people, but people starve all the time.
If there is a god, I believe he would regret putting humans on the face of the earth.
I ask this question to everyone "Name one way in which the human race have been of a benefit to this planet"
Your answer may be something like "Well the pidgeons have never had it so good", but thats just stoopid to say that, we are mererly tipping the balance in favour of one creature at the expense of others.
Pass the next can of Carlsberg Special Brew pls, there's more where that came from.

EVE is no place for an RMTer. They 1st have to compete with the GTCs (one of the smartest moves in MMO history IMO), which probably cuts off a good 90% of their 'customers' (as the people desperate enough to buy ISK will just do it the safe, secure way of GTC selling) and 2ndly, they'll eventually get banned anyways and all the ISK removed.

errrrm, this thread is just so damn ludicrous I dont even know where to begin .....
my current 'care' count for the chinese isk farmers who get caught and banned? 0
When u have a 2bil+ population someone will always suffer, be bottom of the pile, be the sh*t thats stepped upon. Tough. No one told them to keep breeding without any real way to support the kids. So I dont really care, have no sympathy and couldnt couldnt give a sh*t what happens to them. Succinct enough? 'PS: the 'people' who do all that hard 'work' of the isk farming aint the ones who get the rewards and dont even try to pretend they are. Behind all of these is organised crime. Same for drugs, same for cheap smuggled ciggies etc. It aint Joe Bloggs who getting the money at all.
2/10 for the troll though

You didn't answer the question "Name one way in which the human race have been of a benefit to this planet"
The question can't be answered positively, if there are any ET's out there watching us they must be pretty disgusted at the way we govern our planet.
1St world countries exploiting the poor countries of the world, we live in luxury and discard food, while they would happily eat the food we give to our cats and dogs.

I wasn't accusing the ISK sellers of eating our family pets, I was accusing the human race of being unworthy of survival, and I am sure this will come to be realised.
You seem to be ignorant of the fact that someone with your attitude has less right to a place on this planet than a wild dog or a cat that has found its rightful place in the balance of nature.

China bought for 20 years the gold all over the planet, they now own enough gold to crash the USA economy (they just have to sell it all at the same time).
Now, i traveled to China a few times, i saw children starving in country villages.
Now, what's the best solution? Chinese fat leaders using national wealth for their people instead of themselves?
No, i was wrong, CCP and Eve Online are the main reason about children's starvation...
PS : let me remember my last travel to Africa. Ah yes, i saw chinese people trying to sell a plastic toy to a child who couldn't even get a rice cup.
China is a great country, but unfortunately, dumb people exist there too, like in every other countries....

if they dump their gold stocks it won't hurt any country in particular though a fair number of people who panic when the price of gold comes down will feel the sting. current market conditions make it likely the drop would be short term. lot of people out there interested in stocking up on shiny yellow metal.
now if they dumped their tbills they could crush the US economy and shortly after everyone's economy. they are currently quietly unloading tbills while loudly proclaiming they are doing no such thing.
