This thread is heading Waaaay of course to OP's post.
Anyways, I do think that what we see in the current iteration of PI on the test server to be just that a test. CCP wants to test the mechanics and filter out bugs with the planet mineral system. I'm convinced that all the production values are but arbitrary as "game balance" has not even yet come into the equation of the tests on SiSi.
Expect a lot to change before the release of Tyrannis, also, potentially a lot more production possibilities have yet to come, it wasn't required for the debugging to have every single item type already programmed into PI as they function in the same way from one another on a technical standpoint.
If you were one of the ones who saw the new planets when they were being tested, then you know that most planet types looked rather horrible and basically was disappointing to everyone who saw them. I kept telling myself, "this is a disaster! no one will ever take this game seriously!" yet only to have them transform into the most beautiful pieces of planetary art we've ever seen on eve barely a week before entering TQ.
I just hope the expansion respects the hype, the teaser and it's name. I just hope they do include this "Civilization effect" onto planets as that's what I'm looking for... Not some little POS op on a planet...
But remembering previous experiments on SiSi, my answer is... "Wait and see, and you will probably be pleasantly surprised!"
P.S looking at the last masstest, it feels like they wanted to clear some of the bugs in production system BEFORE adding everything else everyone is hoping to see in the final product...
It would make a lot of sense to assume they are bringing Tyrannis in phases to SiSi and not all at once.

Originally by: Orephia Most of these so-far end tier listed products have names suggesting Implants production, like Neural Interface & Wetware Mainframe. So not Rifters, but perhaps something more profitable. Time will tell.
So much isn't included currently on the SiSi version, we can only guess at what kind of stuff we will be able to make. There's that HIGH-TECH factory on temperate worlds which doesn't seem to produce anything, I cannot wait to discover what! :)
