Just because people dont honor the system as it's been used for longer than any of us have been around doesnt mean it's wrong for people to post such a system. Anything above start, and below reserve means the item MIGHT sell if the seller decides to (once the auction is over). Anything between the reserve and buyout means that the seller MUST sell at the finishing price of the auction.
