Was mining in high-sec. when a smart guy showed up, he turned red/skull without targeting me, then he jettisoned a can and started moving my cans into he`s. (My mining-method is filling up my cargo and then jettison it into space, change ship and hauling it all back to station with a bigger ship). When i came back to pick up my stuff i was flagged as a criminal since i took from "he`s" can, and he could blow me up without Concord interfering. I have to give him credit for stealing smart, but how can i prevent this act, can`t afford a Hulk yet.???

Anchor a giant secure can, set password, then put your ore into that

On your own, you will have no chance against can-flipping tactics. Always check 'your' supposed jetcan before accessing it!
But don't use Giant Secure Container ... they are a pain in the a**. You only get 3900m^3 of ore into them, wheras your jetcan has a capacity of 27k.
Can flippers are not after your ore. They just want to shoot you. If you don't play their game, they might let off of you. Otherwise move to a quieter system.

Good point not playing their game, 40 min. later he`s can was blue and named "free ore for all", i got my ore back but lost a ship. Annoying and pretty senceless tho, my industrial was stripped and of no value to other than me.

Canflippers are doing it for the tears in a miners cargohold and the hatemails. Some even do it for PvP.

GSCs, although an option, are not worth it with mining.
For one, it is only 3.9k m3. A properly skilled miner can fill this in one cycle.
Two, the password part of the container only applies once the can is anchored. You can not anchor cans in any system with a 0.8 or higher sec status, and the cans must be 5km away from each other.
My suggestion is to get an alternate character or a friend into a hauler to haul the ore back to station. If you have two or more miners on the field, then an Orca becomes necessary to remain efficient.
Tip of the Day: An alternate character is a wise investment in Eve for everything including Ratting, Missioning, and Mining.

Just ignore them.
They'll realise your not dumb and move on.
Don't flag yourself for no good reason, 50k worth of ore is not a good reason.

How to get rid of can flippers: 1-Mine in a coveter and look nooby. 2-Wait until they flip can. 3-Get a ship with insane warp strength and steal 1m3 of ore from "his" can. 4-Get him aggroed towards you. 5-Go get BS with huge DPS 6-Warp back and blow him away 7-Pod him 8-Go get industrial and haul "his" ore 9-Laugh in local and sell corpse Whaddya know nobody flips your cans anymore.

This will not work for a number of reasons. Why have WCS installed and flag yourself? He is already flashy so you can just go get your combat ship without needing to risk mining ship. Also, most can flippers fly frigs or cruisers, what makes you think your big battleship can even apply the huge damage you talk about? BS guns cant even track frigs to hit them.
Also, what makes you think a flipper will sit around in belt while you are getting a new ship?
BEST way to handle can flippers is to IGNORE them. If you dont react to their flipping they will leave within 5 minutes, guaranteed.
Second best way is to fit a bait ship and pretend to mine while in reality being packed with scram, web, neut, drones and so on. Vexor and Arbitrator is great for that purpose.

3- pointless, he already is blinky 4- ^^ 5- BS will not be able to lock or track small ship, not to mention that can flippers want exactly this. What makes u believe that a mining char, that is mining has skills for some uber dps BS? not to mention iskies to buy it? 6- ^^ 7- u cannot pod ppl in empire if they aggro u, only war targets, corp mates and those that are below -5 sec status 8- IF u manage to pop his frig/cruiser, what makes u think he will simply leave system? 9- IF u manage to pod him, i'm sure he will leave local due to his clone not beeing in said system, laughing is pointless, trust me, locals dont give a fly about your bravery. "PvPer" WILL return, since u just gave him fun reaction.

Many good advices already given (Naliena, McMurphy), ignore the trolls.
Best advice was to ignore the canflipper, juste move out of belt, after some time the canflipper will get bored and moves on.
I know it¦s a pain in the a** to mine in a retriever (if you are already), but keep in mind that the hulk is not that far away, and than these pains are gone.

I dont know why you are complaining. You took a shortcut and got burned. If you are going to mine with a can you need to use a secure container!!

There's lots of ways to deal with can flippers. I don't us GSCs anymore because of the time required to anchor the can. It's also like putting up a sign telling pirates where to look. Most flippers want to shoot you so they leave the ore behind. When they leave system I warp out in an indy and grab it. With some practice you can grab their can while your ship is moving and then warp off before they can target you.

Do three things and you will not have to worry about can flippers.
1 Create a free trial account, make an amarr character then train amarr industrial and Hull upgrades. It takes a couple hours and they are ready to fly a bestower.
2. Anchor a giant secure container then have your amarr character pull from it as your miner puts stuff in it.
3. Create another account when your free one gets ready to expire.

You can't.
Simply put. There is nothing you can do. The suggestions here are interesting but most of them are either impractical, too complicated, or will eventually lead to more loss for you. Your method is the classic jetcan method which carries all the classic risks.
What you must learn is simply how not to fall into traps that will get your ship destroyed. Secondly, you need to figure and weigh your convenience/risk/profit factor. This can only be learned from your own experience.
When you say "can't a afford a Hulk", I hope what you mean is "not skilled enough yet". I say this because you seem a little naive for an exhumer level miner. If indeed you have made a B line straight to Hulk training then all I can say is that the Hulkageddon pilots are going to be very happy to meet you.

Ofcourse you can, it is definitely worth a fully insured T1 ship to blow up his probably expensive implants.
