I've been wanting to train a ship to almost full potential recently with all related skills to atleast level 4. Alot of the skills are displayed in the module infos and recommened certificates but there's always occasional skills that could get left out like rapid fire or something.
I'm just wondering if there's any tool which lets you find all related skills to a ship and all of it's modules?

EveHQ
Rightclick on a ship or a module/charge fitted and it will show you the skills affecting the module.
EveHQ = Evemon and EFT combined + more. ____________________________________________________________________________________________________ Fact of EVE forums: They will always come an anounomys alt-toon and question someones character... |

How's this:
- Open EVEmon and create a new skillplan
- Add your ship to your training plan (this shows you the skills you need to sit in the ship)
- Create your fit in EFT
- Right-click each module bring up the skills that have any effect on that module
- Right-click in the whitespace on the fit to see general skills related to fitting that ship
That's more spoonfeeding than you deserve, so don't ask for more.
EDIT: argh. beaten by 2 minutes

Edited by: Mendolus on 28/04/2010 19:12:33 Don't forget that EFT can now do exports to EVEMon so you can actually create an entire skillplan based on a ship from the ground up.
1. Open EFT 2. Open Ship Browser 3. Select Ship 4. Fit ship 5. Click drop down menu and Copy to clipboard 6. Open EVEMon 7. Browse to desired character tab 8. Open or create a new plan 9. Select EFT Import from menu at top of plan window 10. Click Add to plan 11. Click Ok 12. Profit?
Now... whether or not you have skills trained that make this particular fit really shine, TBH it's not rocket science.
If you are flying anything in space, you need capacitor, engineering, navigation, shield or armor, drone, targeting, and electronics skills. If you are flying anything with turrets, you need gunnery support skills. If you are flying anything with launchers, you need missile support skills. If you are flying any specialties, it is usually self evident, i.e. Jump Drive Navigation, Jump Fuel Conservation, Jump Drive Calibration.
Dare I say skill regimens and the names of the skills themselves are pretty obvious 90% of the time? >.<
I may not seem so to someone grappling with the extreme learning curve of the game in the first six months still, but after two years, I am not sure how it is that difficult to know which skills affect what, esp. when you can simply tinker with all the skills in EFT to notice whether or not it affects your ship, if you really do not know already.

I reference two sources when wanting to understand the full set of skills that would compliment a specific ship.
First: in game, click show info for the ship in question. I think the tab is called ôrecommended.ö These are the certificates that are suggested for this ship. Use the certificate planner (in game) in the character tab to determine which skills feed each certificate. Good luck navigating the in game certificate planner!
The easer way is in EVEMon. In ship browser, select the ship in question. In the bottom right corner is the list of skills needed to fly the ship. Above that is the list of certificates needed to achieve all the recommended certificates. Click ôapply all to planö (not sure exact name of button), which will then show you the individual skills and levels.
I donÆt run EFT so canÆt comment on that solution.
