YES RVB IS GOING STRONG!
Currently #25 and #31 on Battleclinic in terms of top corporation kills! about to break 40,000
Actually red needs a little boost especially in the US timezone late night 9:00 PM to about 1:30 AM. But as always we are taking applications for all time zones and from experienced and first time PVP'ers as well....
If you have further questions just ask in R-V-B channel anytime for help
Hope to pop your hull or focus your fire very soon! Orion Shadowmaker Go Blues! |

I actually thought about joining RvB awhile back. However your continued and flagrant self promotion is rather pathetic, and I will definitely not join an organization that condones such methods.

This. It's actually common practice now to tell people not to go to RVB if they want to learn how to really pvp.

As a vet of both RvB 1.0 and the initial month or so of this new iteration I can honestly say that the new management (or at least their advertising dpt) are doing a great job at ****ting the good name of RvB :(
(Though them actually taking the effort to keeping it alive is a somewhat redeeming factor. I would not personally rejoin from what I've seen and heard of the current state of affairs however.) ----------------------------------------------- www.eve-arena.com

Hi-ho, average RvB member here. The whole operation runs pretty smoothly. We get a lot of PvP with only minor drama.
Honestly, if I judged Eve's in-game experience based on these forums I'd have never started playing in the first place. Have you seen Crime and Punishment? Yikes.

The lowdown:
It exists but not as it was. Reports that I've received in the last 24 hours are that the leadership on both sides are weak and not leading anyone or doing anything to enforce the rules. Lack of leadership on both sides allowed a situation to develope that should have been nipped in the bud months ago.
My friends say the Red membership is mainly smacktalking station huggers who do nothing but complain about Blue pilots and have even hired suicide gankers to pod Blue members.
Blue members are so frustrated and annoyed with Reds lack of spirit and backbone that they are even refusing to help Red with a 3rd party war dec.
During Euro prime time Red are now pretty much perma camped in their HQ and rarely leave their home system.
Do not join Red. Their older players and leaders have reached an all time low and are on a downward spiral that cannot be stopped without disbanding and starting the whole thing from the ground up.

This is a bunch of crap.
Leadership handled the situation just fine, The individual in question followed the rules up until the very last moment.
For anyone who cares there was pilot in blue who made a habit of camping red base during Euro playtimes.
He'd sit there and gank newb and bait people to come out and fight him on his terms. Most of our pilots learned over time that it was pointless to engage him he wouldn't aggress unless he was assured of victory and would tend to use ships that were much to powerful if you really want to get a fight.
No big deal he was easily avoidable and seldom left the station grid.
Annoying yes but still following the letter of the law as it comes to RVB.
Monday I suppose this individual decided that he'd accomplished what ever it was he wanted to while in RVB and gave everyone a big FU by podding several people.
He was subsequently kicked from the corporation as soon as someone with the needed role was online to do so. This individual then promptly joined a 3rd Party War target with another former tool who was kicked from RVB to continue he campaign of ganking newbs.
Most the drama is coming from a few individual pilots.
Irritatingly enough this person only flies during euro time so I seldom get a chance to go after him.
During US primetime things are much better we have regular fleet battles (though blue was lacking their primary FC for a few days there) plus we've been poping 3rd party War targets.
Last night was a relatively slow night for me I only got 5 kills. many nights I get double that but we spent a significant amount of time playing cat and mouse with War Targets.
US Prime time is going strong, and on euro prime time if there is a leadership vacuum (don't know that there is I seldom get to play during that time frame) then that just represents an opportunity for some motivated individual to step up and fill it.
So the rumors of RVB's demise are greatly exagerated. And yeah I see all the silly posts about how things have gone downhill blahblahblah but I too was in this iteration of RVB when it first started and at least when I'm it's better by far than it was at the start. The leadership is doing an excellent job keeping people coming in. The folks that I fly with are enjoying the heck out of it.
Sure it's not always sunshine and rainbows but what the hell is? and in a game where being a jerk wad is so regularly rewarded it should be no surprise that occasionally one of them will try to stir up trouble in something as successful as RVB.
This has been going since September the corps are ranked 25 and 31 on Battleclinic . We've caused the destruction of over half a trillion isk in ships and modules.
No RVB will continue to be successful for as long as people want to pew pew without the hassle of null/low sec or the faction penalties and spy paranoia of faction war.
If you want more info go read the post titled "casual PVP" for some of the stuff I've written about it.

Whilst RvB has some problems it shares with every other EVE organisation (such as negative whiners the likes of whom appear to have made a few posts in this thread), it also avoids a great many horrible problems that other EVE organisations have (no pvp on demand, no solo, too lengthy time commitments required, too many jumps for action, laggy blob fights).

What part is bull****? The part where you allowed a certain Blue member to camp Red HQ for months and took no action or the part where Red cannot be found outside their home system. You are part the 'failed leadership' I'm talking about.
Originally by: Florio The killboard speaks for itself.
Blue had 9 kills in a 5 hour period that is Euro primetime yesterday.
Red had 12 kills in the same time period.
That's 21 kills in 7 hours.

If we are using facts as our foudnation -- RVB already has 2200 kills for the month of MAY...
RVB ask for leadership from everyone, before you point fingers please tell what you have done to make RVB better...
Im having a blast! so is most of your corp mates - we may need to really hone into your time slot
