Are you like me sick of people invading your missions and stealing your salvage...right in front of you, sometimes mocking you on the local while they do it.
Knowing that you can't do anything about it, because of the stupid concord rules.
Eve is a universe of possibilities.I would never suggest that someone shouldn't be able to scan down targets, and even enter other's mission space.
But there should be consequences.I shouldn't have to sit there like a dumb turd waiting for him to actually loot a can.The second he enters my mission space uninvited...I should be able to destroy him.

Sounds good to me, as long as your said destroying of my salvage ship gives me aggro on you. Are you comfortable with that? Are you sure? ---- Blog: My Loot, Your Tears |

Solution: make a salvage alt or hire a new player to do it for you.

wrecks are space trash and don't belong to anyone. I think theft shouldn't apply to NPC drops.
theft should only be when a pilot jettisons a can themselves and someone steals from it. or when a player pilot's ship explodes, that wreck and loot should belong to them and be theft if someone steals from it or salvages it.

all NPC cans should be blue. --

If I fire 1st, then yes you should be able to return fire without being concorded. If you fire 1st, you're still concord toast.

Not when the wrecks are kills from my mission! Run your own damn missions,if you want wrecks to salvage and loot...if they're in my mission space...they're MINE!

1- Ninja Salvager enters your mission area 2- Ninja Salvager starts salvaging your wrecks 3- You hit a trigger ship 4- You warp off 5- ??? 6- Profit!

OR:
You get an Ishtar, use drones for DPS, fit tractors and salvagers, salvage as you go...
OR:
Train a salvaging alt
OR:
Play something else. (j/k) |

stop flying missions in the attitude the salvage is yours. It is not, people only take their (FFA) stuff.
However, you would not really shoot at them if you might, would you? Have you ever heard of people looting cans for you to shoot them... When you are dumb enough to do that, they will jam, neut, web/scramble, tracking disrupt, sensor damp, target paint, obliterate, loot and salvage your mission raven after few seconds of your aggro. It would be what you should expect every time you shoot a salvager at least. |

This same idea again, it gets posted twice a week and is listed in the commonly proposed idea's thread at the top of this very forum.
Salvage is not stealing, that is the reason that there is not agro. This is deliberately done by CCP.
Here the thread from the commonly prosed idea's thread with links to the dev/GM statements saying that what you are saying is wrong is intended game design.

"Not when the wrecks are kills from my mission! Run your own damn missions,if you want wrecks to salvage and loot...if they're in my mission space...they're MINE!"
Utterly wrong. The Wrecks belong to nobody, only the loot in them belongs to you. The Salvage doesn't.

Is there any reason for this except for an arbitrary game mechanic? Because that doesn't make much sense. How undamaged modules and cargo can be rightly yours, but not damaged components? Logically, loot should also belong to nobody, no?
Just wonderin...

I've not designed that system, CCP has.

I'm perfectly aware that CCP are designing their own game, thank you very much.

Add an item to the game that costs 1m, can be renamed and when deployed looks like a wreck.
Then make it explode for 6k damage like a bomb when its salvaged.
There you go, once you inject a little fun into it seeing a ninja pop into your mission would be fun.
even kill rights wouldnt be affected.... the ninja killed himself, you cant force him to salvage a wreck.
