How about a teaching skill? Something that enables an account to 'donate' its skill training time to boost somebody elses training. This could be based on a teaching skill. lvl 1 -> 10% of teachers attributes go to its pupil lvl 2 -> 20% ... While at the same time the teacher can't train for himself. Trials can't teach. Teaching only in player corporations and stacking penalties if more than one teacher is boosting the same account. What do you think?

No its not. Its a bonus a corporation can give to dedicated members. With teaching only in player corporations and stacking penalties I doubt it would cause to many problems. Its easy to balance I think. New pilots are often very dedicated. But this is wasted as it takes them too long to get skills up. So why not add a new benefit to player corporations? I think this is way better than the current buy/sell of high skilled characters.

Not supported, enough alts in the game already

Not alts. All the old veteran characters that can't be played anymore (because of clone upgrade costs) could finally put their knowledge to some use again. (Not that I have one of those chars. Just saw someone complain about clone upgrade costs in this forum.) |

I had an idea for a teaching skill...
Instead of donating training time, I imagined a skill that allows you to generate skillbooks for the skills you already know to level 5, with up to 5 books created at a time.
Then, only very basic skills should be seeded on the market, and all other skills should be available from LP stores at an increased price. Suddenly, you get a whole new industry manufacturing skill books, with supply and demand affected by the players.
---- I belong to Silent Ninja (Hopefully that should cover it). |
