There are currently issues with the latest patches for Sisi. Someone will look into it soonish. Getting a TQ-Sisi patch or the full installer will help you if you really need to increase your 1337 PvP skills right now.

The client now appears to get the patch, but then the update instafails and also says the url does not exist. No need to run the repair tool, although it does suggest itself.
Hi lampsy :) hope you will be freed from Uedama!

I figured there was something gimpy with the install from a previous patch so I decided to go for a reinstall and see if that fixed it.
I copied over my TQ eve install and then went to try and install the TQ=Sisi patch. However, the patch link is not working. I attempt to use this url
http://cdn1.eveonline.com/test/evepremiumpatch127381-150456_test.exe
Nothing downloads from the url, and the auto-patcher fails as well for what appears to be the same reason, the patch simply doesn't exist.

This worked for me but I had to manually navigate to the test server folder.

I'm on this at the moment. It was quite weird; the automate build and deployment system did all the building for patches and what not, but then simply failed completely on the Windows uploads - very strange.

Yeah my experience echoes the OP.
Wiped my Sisi client folder, copied over from Tranq, ran client to update it, the update failed with an attempt at repair, repair failed with a file missing after python25.dll and now ... bupkis.
Someone forget a dependency? I'm going to try some of the options posted here and see if they work.

OK. Downloaded the full client, tried to install it and it died trying to update DirectX.
My personal opinion: total and utter fail in every way imaginable.
Seriously. You guys are going to roll this out live in 8 days? Good luck with that. I'll make certain to schedule some new movies from netflix just in case I need alternative entertainment options.
Meanwhile. What is the procedure now for updating, downloading and/or getting a working Sisi client?
I've tried auto-update, fail. I've tried manual update, fail. I've tried deleting existing Sisi client and trying all over again, fail. I've tried downloading full client, fail.
What process or procedure exists that isn't a huge pile of fail? Anybody? Bueller?

Haha, this is SISI not TQ. I can give you that TQ patch days have failed miserably in the past but it's not like it does every single time. While SISI always works like a bag of <name of funky stuff here> leading up to an expansion. Right now though SISI works like a charm, that is quite rare so take your time to test your stuff now before they mess it up again.
EDIT: Btw, i patched my client before they added the latest patch. I logged in to SISI today and got an autopatch again. No errors, no fail. Worked right out of the box.
Clear your SISI cache, copy your TQ install, use the shortcut for a SISI client and let it patch. Should work just fine!
My opinions belong to me, you can't have them!

I did:
1. Clear out my Sisi client folder.
2. Copied my Tranq client folder to Sisi client folder.
3. Used my Sisi client shortcut to activate the Sisi client.
4. Was informed of availability of 248m patch.
5. Elected to auto-patch.
6. Downloaded said patch.
7. Allowed patch to be applied.
8. Patch resulted in big steaming pile of fail, again.
9. Patch invoked repair tool.
10. Repair tool downloaded.
11. Repair tool unpacked.
12. Repair tool resulted in big steaming pile of fail, again.
13. Error code 18, "python25.dll not found".
14. Checked the "/bin" directory of Sisi client. Python25.dll does exist in that directory. No idea what directory the auto-update placed the repair tool.
blah blah blah.
Frankly as someone who has been programming professionally for the past 30+ years I'm not all that impressed by CCP at the best of times. On this occasion my opinion has dropped even further. No doubt some fanboy will pop up and shout "I can haz ur stuff" and "go back to Wow" or some other pithy pile of nonsense.
Now I'll spend some time finding the repair tool, manually downloading it and trying to get it to fix this turd. In concept Eve is a good game. In practice it's a turd.

Did the same, had same problem. Also tried to download the manual patch from TQ to Sisi, failed as well. Also tried to use manual patch from TQ to an older version version of Sisi, hoping patching from there would work better: same problem.
In short: Sisi might work, but patching doesn't, at least not for me. _____________________________________
