Hello i need some advice from high ranking players within a corp
I am the corp commander of a corp of 70 players. My biggest problem is that i am doing everything and whenever we have any kind of problem from being wardeced to organisation everyone looks to me for the solution.
I have tried delegating roles but people just mess them up and i am then forced to go in and sort out the situation
I have a lot of good people but apart from fleet mining ops everything is on me and im playing this game far to much.
I need some suggestions please on ways around this as im sick of having to micromanage 70 players and the moment i get online i instantly have 5-10 private chats open.

Alright so I don't have any experience in corporation management, but it sounds like the people you are playing with simply don't have the same enthusiasm or heart that you do about your goals / ideals. Might be better off finding other people who share the same feelings as you about EVE. I know when my friend and I start our serious corp, we will only be recruiting those people dedicated to our cause and who are legitimate about their playstyle. _______________________________________________________________________________________________________

1. Give your officers a paycheck, Fire them when they don't work out and hire a new one.
2. Tell them what the deal is. "YOU SHOULD BE ABLE TO DO THIS. Why do you need me?"
3. It is -your- job as corp commander. Step down.

You got yourself a corp full of whiny losers. It's as simple as that.
If people in the corp can't manage 5 minutes without looking for advice from you then they're basically hopeless. Just tell them to figure it out themselves or ask someone else in the corp if it isn't something really important.
While it might be too late to fix, there's still the possibility of conditioning them to take care of themselves.

DELEGATE
Create a chain of command.
Split your corp into areas and have each area assigned a 'Deputy'.
You want roughly one person in charge of 10 people, (number pulled out of my ass but sounds about right).
Deputys should be able to deal with most problems brought to them by either their common sense or by previous rules/decisions make by yourself.
Your role is overall strategy, the deputies have to deal with how it happens.
As your corp grows you are going to have to distance yourself from the corp members for them to accept you as a leader and not just a 'fellow corpmate'.

First of congratulations on getting a corp with 70+ members.
Secondly how foolish were you to expand that high without having any one you could trust as a director.
By the sound of it, you've allowed your corp members to rely on you constantly to sort them out every time they graze their knee.
For a pretty graphic analogy read on.
You are the CEO, which generally means being the ringmaster. As Ringmaster you don't get many laughs nor are you the centre of action that people see.
What you do is lead and direct. If something gets done great - if not find out why.
It takes a lot of man-management skills to lead a corp especially of that size. If you lack the psychological skills to persuade people to do what you enjoy doing so they enjoy doing it, then you may have to turn in to a complete ass hat and get rid of people who aren't pulling their weight or want to go in a direction you don't want to take the corp in.

Being a CEO is not a thing to take lightly.
Worse is when you are growing and everybody goes his/ her own way. You try to delegate= ask people, ok you use the POS can you please in some way help with fueling the XXX thing and then they just stop using the POS. Try to organize anything and peeps just largely don't respond/ stay away.
For a CEO you need to be online every day, preferably 23/7.
One option as mentioned above is have trusted people as director help you out, but if you don't have any... pfff, you might as well quit. Find a corp that can use a director and see if you can fit in there. Less stress, same level of access as before, minus the shares, with more fun. Remember this is a game, not a job.
Good luck.

Pick 2 people in your corp that aren't complete imbiciles and give them the roles necessary to do what needs to be done.
In my case (I faced a similar situation, albeit for other reasons) I eventually kicked / made the crappy people leave and just made everyone else a director so I don't need to do anything for other people :D --
