It seems with build 152090, every time you install a new deposit, all routes out of the extractor get purged. Is that intentional? If so:
If the intent is to increase the number of clicks per deposit, I hereby whine and complain but eventually accept it.
If the intent is to prevent the "abuse" of overrouting, I have two points: 1. Is it really that bad if we can extract efficiently without storage? Don't you want us to find creative solutions? 2. If it is that bad, there is a less inconvenient way to prevent it. Just reduce the transfer amount of the last outgoing route by however much the new cycle output is short. It's not that hard -- please? Ok, so you'll need a wee loop to delete excess routes that would get nothing at all from the new deposit, but you already have a loop to delete all routes.

It think this comes from the fact that the new deposit won't have the same amount as the previous route was configured for. It makes sense to re-generate the route every time the deposit is selected. That said, they should automatically go into route generation when you select a deposit.. you know.. to save the clickies... Intel/Nomad |

Edited by: Steve Thomas on 16/05/2010 20:15:24 the problem was (as Clansworth (and others) mentioned) that extractors for whatever reason dont always pull the exact same ammount from one cycel to another. I had some extractors with 6 routs on them that were 1-2 item routs so that was one bug taken care of (in theory)

You're both right, the cycle amount varies, specifically it usually goes down because of depletion. However, I don't think that's a cause to auto-delete the route. What used to happen in this case was that the route would stay at the old, higher amount, but some of it would be unused. In other words, you couldn't cheat and create minerals out of thin air just by having a grandfathered route. I don't see why that was a problem.

I strongly disagree with this, i feel like it could have been done in an easier way, making us create routes every single time is unendlingly annoying. clickfest.

Guys, guys. It's okay. They'll revisit PI and fix it in 2015.
