Moments after the writing of this message the system of Taisy was attacked by a group of Sansha led by Slave Tama01. The event happened quickly, with the Sansha retreating soon after they appeared over planet VIII, seeming to have left the populace well alone. No reports of dropships were heard, the only transmissions from the Sansha speaking of 'material'. At first the intent of the attack was unknown, with many believing it was a resource raid of some sort. That is, until it was noticed that planet eight of the system holds the Kyonoke Pit in its orbit.
Everyone, we must now assume that the Sansha are in possession of the cluster's most deadly and virulent plague known.
May God help us all.

Oh no... The millions already lost will be nothing compared to the untold billions that would die if this plague is unleashed.
Sansha is a madman. I fear it is unavoidable that he will use this weapon.
We must thrust into the heart of Nation. Every second of rest for the abomination is a second they can use to poison our worlds. With this plague, they have us by the nads. The only valid response is a Khumaak to the neck.

Edited by: Myxx on 17/05/2010 08:55:44 This was forwarded to several people after I recieved it, including CONCORD, Synenose Coordinators, Adv Command Staff/Intel Staff, Reigonal leaders (Evanda, Vikarion, Archbishop, Merdaneth, Julianus, Seriphyn, Cael, Stitcher, Aria Jenneth)
PRIORITY: Taisy 8
Quote: Taisy From: Vricrolatious Sent: 2010.05.17 08:11 To: Myxx,
About twenty minutes ago, a new type of attack took place in Taisy. No one was taken, but the chat logs below indicate that something was taken.
[07:42:57] Slave Tama01 > We have what Master sent us for.
[07:43:14] Slave Tama01 > There is no shame in Nation's glory.
[07:44:30] Slave 32152 > 5,000m
[07:44:50] Slave Tama01 > Withdraw.
[07:45:16] Slave Tama01 > For Nation.
[07:45:59] Slave Tama01 > There is no death in Nation.
Appears it may have been something to do with this, http://www.eveonline.com/background/potw/default.asp?cid=may02 as it was the correct planet.
--V--
The above was sent DIRECTLY to me by one of my scouts on the scene who personally witnessed this.

Perhaps the Caldari security forces at the station can shed some light on the incursion. Presumably, Kuvakei requires some sort of continuous contact with his subjects for dynamic control, which also makes the tasc stored at the facility a valuable commodity. Let's not forget that dead bodies can't serve Sansha's Nation as mindless slaves.

Whatever was taken is still up for debate. The amount taken would imply the ore, though it could be other items as well. People are still trying to figure that out. I'm a gray market man in a Black and White Rabbit world

Edited by: Freyya on 17/05/2010 09:11:49 I am wondering what use the Sansha have for the pathogen considdering it has a 100% mortality rate. The Nation wants live slaves, not dead bodies...and as capsuleers we are protected against the pathogen by our sealed enviroment that is the pod. Also, any ships that might have harvested the material will be infected and i assume Sansha slaves are not immune to the pathogen. The report of Kyonoke speaks of a group retrieving the pathogen but dying shortly therafter because of infection so i conclude that the pathogen is not able to be contained (for long anyways) in any state.
I am also wondering if there were any reports of the Caldari forces stationed around the pit, which are responsible for the protection of said pit and must repell any and all intruders who are trying to enter the vicinity. If there where no reports of combat and no wrecks to be found consisting of Sansha or Caldari designs i wonder if it is nothing more than a scare tactic to imply exactly what you just put into public channels...
However, i would still like to plea with the Caldari forces and/or Concord to just nuke the pit out of existance and eliminate any residual pathogen still alive in the depths of the mines, to ensure no Sansha or whatever group else will be able to get their hands on (more) pathogen specimens.
The Caldari have a research center which should have more than enough data after many many years of conducting research on the pathogen and should be able to build upon that without access to the source.
I plea again to the authorities to make sure that no more victims can be made by the horrific "biological speck". Nuke it our of existance and cleanse with fire. It has been a lingering threat in New Eden for far too long already! ___________

We also shouldn't discount the notion that perhaps this task force showed up simply to create the illusion of acquiring something valuable to incite a reaction and cause defense forces to allocate resources to dealing with the hoax. There are certainly possibilities other than acquiring a plague that would be equally deadly to Sansha's Nation as to us.

Cleared for public release // FedNav PUBLIC-1
I have reliable sources telling me that Taisy Prime was not breached. I doubt the State will speak out on the matter, but hopefully the people in charge of the operations there understand the reassurance that official confirmation will bring. I understand there was a skirmish, some lives may have been lost. Families may need to be notified. I ask my fellow capsuleers to be patient with me on the provision of an official response.
I'm inclined to agree that we shouldn't rush to judgment either. The virus would appear to be useless to any living creature, even the abominations that attack our people.

I am indeed curious as to who you are or are portraying to be. Your existance has only surfaced on coms after the first few attacks and your name seems to have a future telling aspect. It seems uncoincidental that your name holds both the subject we are discussing and the surname of Sansha Kuvakei. Your broadcast refferences indicate that you have the Kyonoke and Kuvakei name before this event has happened.
You however seem unrelated to the events that have unfolded considdering your identity seems to miss some "authentication identity markers". I therefore move to have you apprehended by any juristictional forces that come across your name in local Galnet broadcasts and interrogate you to discover what relation you represent to the latest events... ___________

If no perfect quarantine can be established in time this kind of virus could have the potential to wipe out the biological life of whole civilizations...
Maybe the Sansha didn't acquire it for themselves but as part of a larger deal?
just brainstorming...

One can only imagine the use that the Sansha would have for a prion which infects the brain directly. What if they were able to modify it so that converting the population of an entire planet to Sansha slaves were only a matter of sending a box of dust to the surface?

No, my understanding is that the conversion to True slavves requires quite sophisticated neural implants. Anything biological would be far too imprecise. --- Warning: You are on the pvp only server. |

Sweet! Well, I'm off to hide in a hermetically sealed secret location, along with a great quantity of crash and servile hench-hookers, while the rest of you sad sacks perish in writhing pustulent agony.
Someone give me a ring when the depopulated universe is ready for my glorious return. Oh wait, there won't be anyone left... I guess I'll set an alarm.

Thank you Omune Balenne, you have done much to quell my fears, and those of many others I am sure. I apologize for any panic I may have caused, but little information was forthcoming about the intent of the attack, and the Sansha claimed it a success. They certainly acquired something, and since it seemed the greatest thing of interest in Taisy was the Kyonoke Pit, the natural conclusion that it was a sample of the pathogen.
Even with the limited information, I thought it best to warn the public of this potential threat as soon as possible. Whether it was tactful or not I was not thinking of at the time; it was the end of a long day and all of us participating in the capsuleer resistance are under enormous strain. Again, I apologize.
However, I am convinced the Sansha were there for a reason. Taisy VIII is not some simple random target. The Sansha have their eye on something, and it is most likely that pathogen. While many people apparently doubt the Sansha's willingness to use such a thing, I do not. Yes, we are nothing but cattle to be harvested for them, but sometimes cattle need to be culled. If they think our resistance too strong, I am certain they would be more than willing to effortlessly kill a few billion of us, simply to weaken our resolve.
They will be back, and we must be ready when they return.

I believe its purpose might be reversed. Offering people the choice to die or be integrated into the Nation could be quite effective. ____

Edited by: Dismus on 17/05/2010 20:02:47 Perhaps Kuvakei's plan is to introduce this virus to worlds he takes, contaminating them and preventing future repopulation...
Given how long this virus would have sat dormant without the ability to properly continue its' life cycle, one could assume that this virus could be used as a permanent means to "lock out" re-colonization of a planet after its inhabitants are "freed" by the Nation.
While I by no means support them I must admit, this is an interesting turn of events indeed.
Given the Caldari have spent five years researching this biological phenomenon is it not possible they've developed a means to protect against or otherwise destroy it?
While the Taisy Prime facility may not have been compromised, I've heard that only one of the two ships which raided the facility a few years ago had ever been found. If that second ship crashed into a nearby asteroid as it likely did, one wouldn't need to compromise the facility to acquire a sample... one would just simply need to find that ship, and it really couldn't be more than a couple hours' travel away.
