Question is simple:
If I submit a Flagship design saying:
Quote: Rattlesnake
Blabla highs
Gist X-Type X-Large Shield Booster Blabla meds
Blabla lows
Blabla rigs
(Replace Blabla with whatever mods make sense for YOU :) )
Can we then fit a Tobias' Modified X-Type X-Large Shield Booster? Same meta, same stats, exactly the same, except for the name :D
There's several other mods where this is the case, and the question being: Does the name matter, or only the stast? Say you submit a fit with Ammatar Navy Heat Sinks, and use Imperial Navy Heat Sinks instead, cause Ammatar Navy was sold out the day you bought the ship, will you be punished/poofed/removed/disqualified/whatevered? ---------

I acknowledge your huge tournament knowledge, Thyrrax, though I'm looking for an official answer to this one, not a "uuh ooh I guess not", unless you can quote me rules, or rules explanations by an official underlining your statement. ---------

What remains unknown is : does the actual flagship needs to exist and to be fitted at the time the tourney begins (ie : you own the hull and can provide it anytime to judges.)

Well the problem is, if you don't have it ready when you submit the fit and like the OP said you can't find the fittings at the last minute then you would be screwed unless the GM was willing to make an exception. And making an exception for one woudln't be fair to everyone else. That's my take on it anyways.

1) The flagship does not have to exist, we just want your designs (although if you link the ship to me in a mail or something, that is handy :P ) 2) EXACT fittings only. No replacement similar items.

I have questions regarding flagship fittings. 1) Is deadspace resists (x-type etc) are allowed? 2) Is it allowed to use t2 rigs? 3) Is it possible to use pirate implant sets (like crystal slave etc) on the tournament?

You have to read it in context, his question was if he could fit that module instead of the one he originally listed just because it has the same stats.
You're the incompetent one

Edited by: Captain Campion on 03/06/2010 14:03:56 Edited by: Captain Campion on 03/06/2010 14:02:54 . Everyone knows (or should) that the tourny is about having lots of targets and EW supremacy. At most a team will have one turret BS, like an Abaddon or something - for instapopping small stuff. But you could achieve a similar effect with a Zealot, or Prophecy - which are cheaper. This time it's all about triple Tengu/Proteus plus jamming plus bombers - OR - Claymore plus vagas/stabbers etc. Maybe there's a Thorax option in there too.

Edited by: Captain Campion on 03/06/2010 15:19:01 Edited by: Captain Campion on 03/06/2010 15:16:51 Ah I see what you mean, the rules aren't written very clearly. I read it as "you can have reps, but only one per ship, and only on a t3 or logi".
Worth making it uber-obvious now.
ONE REPPING SHIP PER TEAM ONLY
The result of that, is that you're prolly better off with BC instead of T3. A bunch of Hurricanes or Harbingers might do well.

Edited by: Captain Campion on 03/06/2010 15:40:21 Edited by: Captain Campion on 03/06/2010 15:38:22 I think you need a turret ship at the start, or sentries. To do something about the frigs. But if it's jammed ur screwed.
So maybe turrets on everything. Chance of ppl having TD is reduced because it's not useful in every match.
Lorpion in the tourny? (sexy new looking Lorpion too!)
But also want launchers for FOFs if ur really screwed. So both weapon types on each ship? Leaves lows for armor tank, plus damnation?

Did you miss the last 2 years? There was this thing about logi gangs being a bit dull, maybe you skipped over it. Since this is a Flag ship thread, maybe you want to add you comments to the http://www.eveonline.com/ingameboard.asp?a=notloggedIntoEveForaLongTime thread. You can continue your tactic discussion there.
