There are still alot screwed up in eve Take what they calling storyline missions I mean jump 16 jumps into 0.1 space to make 200k and if you don;t I have found man do you lose alot in standing.. I lost 1.0 standing with corp not doing 2 story line missions in 0.1 and 0.0 both 16 and one 18 jumps
As far as LP trades with agents that is a joke 1st should not be asking for illegal goods in trades that should be done away with 2nd trades suck I was offered a 220 cannon for loads of tags and 110,000 LP points and all crap before that I say work out some the little things before add anything else

Do contrabrand goods get detected within containers?
Can a Interceptor get aways fast enough?
How many warp core stabs would you need to warp away?
That is things one would have to try out i guess. BUT I don't want to loose my 6.5 Caldari Faction standing for this :)

No

More than you can fit to a ship
The only way past is with bookmarks and then only if you are very good at manualy clicking the gate and jumping and lucky so that your 'perfect' bm dosent 'jitter' you outside activation range of the gate. However the standing costs mount up after only a few jumps making it unworkable for a long haul.... and then you need to cower in in feer in the station for 15 mins while customs calm down....
Oh and if you aren't quick in giving the stuff to customs they will continue to blast you until you are in your pod.

Edited by: Chepe Nolon on 30/12/2004 18:10:32 Just to add. Covert op frigs with covert op cloaks doesn't get away either. But you don't get blown up while cloaked. You still can't jump though.
Do Sisters of EVE give out offers for freeing slaves btw?

Don't know, but I would hope they do. I do know that they buy Vitoc too, presumably to help with their rehabilitaiton projects.

If I got this mission in the right place i would not hesitate to close it.
My problem however is that I made a boo boo earlier and spent a few days cleaning upp my assets gathering upp my valuables in key places...
To make a long story short I have ALOT of slaves sitting in stations in space that is protected by customs officers...
May just have to do some missions for the agents where they are and hope for the best...

So the answer is to anticipate the offer and work for an agent where the item is not illegal? Somehow i dont buy that as the intended work around for these missions. The constant illegal goods loyalty point offers are growing more and more annoying with each one. Mainly because i see the cash total offered then realise that i would not be able to complete it without losing standing and being fined in the process of collecting all the neccacary items. Personally, i expected illegal goods to be offered in some way as a means of making them useful or meaningful within the game. I also expected that only pirate agents would be asking for those items to support other illegal activities that their npc corp takes part in. I realize that the shady buisness angle within even legitmate corps serves a purpose, but i would expect them not to outweigh the legal buisness proposals offered through the LP system. I am curious though at the nature of the LP system with the get rich quick schemes that they have. It would appear that they have replaced the "i need x item and dont care where it comes from missions". These do cost LP, happen irregularly, and do not cause a faction change compared to the other mission type.
There are many options and possibilities with this style of system and i sincerly hope that they can be fleshed out into something more developed and have more options for use. Personally i see the LP as leverage to get something not normally offered to other people, but so far i havent really seen anything that would suggest that beyond only the highest end items, those being the faction ships. Everything else it would appear that the rewards can be gained in a number of other ways using far fewer resources and less time involved to get them with a more reliable result. This causes the entire system, as it stands currently, to be rather pointless and less profitable than the previous mission system.

Ijust want to make sure I'm clear on this because i have been leaving slaves behind to die in space which I hate doing. Can I or can I not take those slaves just saved by killing a slave trader through a stargate, with out losing standing? Or is the only safe option to leave them there or bring them to station in system with is not the one I wan them at? Thanks Jet. I want to free my people, but don't want to be subject to bad standings and fines. Personally I think they sould not have slaves as contraband for people like me how like to go into Ammar space and take out convoies to free slaves. Now I can't do that because i'll get it will a bad stating when brinning them into minmatar space where my agent is.

Wat about co-op ships, can u cloak ur way there. Not quite as fun as shouting "YEEEEEEh HaaaaW" while zipping thru customs blockades but i like the idea of slowly creeping by rite under customs noses wiv out getting fined. has any1 tried it?

Edited by: Dargon Starjammer on 19/01/2005 19:34:46 270 science grads. i could make a killer profit off of them. and the exotic dancers... um give everyone in my corp a small harem lol.
id think that slaves would be free to transport into minmatar space but not leave it.
as in i'm bringing these slaves back to there homes.

My first day I got an offer for 248,000 ISK in return for 45 slaves (&30 LPs) from the Gallante Center for Advanced Studies. I've looked, and I would have to transport them through at least 3 customs-guarded gates to "repatriate" them.
I doubt this is even possible - and it seems almost cruel to dangle that kind of money in front of a brand-new player. But I'm still not sure, the storyline contraband I carried was never a problem - so there it sits in my offers for me to puzzle over during the next week...

Even worse - if you get sucked in as a newbie and take these missions, and if you do get pinged and fined, the fine is typically more than your cash balance. So you wind up with -ve cash.
This causes your character to be bugged because the only way to get cash with -ve balance is for some kind person to give it to you. Can't run missions (no colateral). Can't sell on mkt or escrow (need 0.00 ISK for fees!) Petition is no good (response: don't transport slaves.)
... or I suppose kill 200 rats in a velator...
[Ask me how I know!]
