99% of players, 100% of paying players (pay real money through credit cards instead of spending isk buying plex).
Lameness aside, as a business, ignore carebears' whining is highly unwise.

I suspect that these are just new sites created to do with that dev blog about move some crappy site nearer to planet and also shift them around and create new ones to put where there were none previously.

Two points: 1. If you think that only 1% of players are members of a 0.0 corp you're living in denial. 2. Plex that have been bought off the market with isk were still paid for by -someone- with a credit card.

Now don't get me wrong, if rolling over supercool exploration sites and farming superawesome faction gear and mining superlucrative nulsec minerals was something every player could do in a couple hours gametime with no teamwork and responsibility and risk and etc. it would kinda ruin everything that makes eve, eve,
But Im thinking about me here. INSTANT GRATIFICATION BAYBEE. That's what Im talkin about. I think im the only person in eve that still understands this is a video game and video games are all about instant gratification and even if you suck at them then pass the damned cheat codes enough hard knocks in RL to loose 34 USD/600m isk worth of crap over a month or so worth of internet spaceships to some limp wristed rl *** with 5 buddies waiting for you on the other side of every lo/nulsec gate, who WILL win, if you should decide to go do anything interesting.
If the average joe could do anything meaningful to defend himself in any average situation without 15 buddies and capital support I'd keep playing but really when my gametime runs out, I think I'm done, no more money when really it takes rl money past just plex for game time (why do you think they sell them in 2's) to do anything interesting, times are tuff and I got more important things to spend it on/ and NO, yall can't have my stuff

Leave it at that then instead of posting ignorant and misinformed tripe.
a) Anyone can venture into nullsec and explore. b) Gatecamps aren't there purely to catch curious carebears. Amazingly enough, the vast majority of kills are of fellow nullsec dwellers - crazy but true!!!! c) Gatecamps don't 'win' all the time. d) If you use your grey matter your will drastically reduce your chance of being caught in a gate camp. e) Have you ever been blobbed by 15 players with capital support in nullsec?!?!
Even including bubbles, low sec is still more dangerous than nullsec.
EDIT: And no, I don't want your fleet of Ibis'

Edited by: De''Vadder on 21/05/2010 11:29:33 Wow, this thread delivers.
But a part from that, 'mystery' doesnt need to mean 11/10. Could be WH or even lowsec, might even be surprisingly challenging Highsec, who knows. I for my part doubt it to be Arch-Dread Guristas Mayor Capital Fleet Staging Maze HQ as nullsec got their candys. I would put my money on WH or somehing all-new (maybe magnetromatic) PI-related.
edit: Ohwait, you included WH in your rant? Everybody can go into WH, and even if the entrance happens to be camped, you can instantly jump back as you spawn IN the WH. No risk invovled there. And why is there still nothing that sets content apart from signature? Is that intentional or technically imposible? |

Not 15, but yes. When a lachesis could not break my empty Impel's tank it cynod in a carrier and two dreads. Even the fighters had issues with my signature tank but it was slllooowwwwwly failing to the other drones. Then they brought in a couple of HACs and a BS to finish the job... 300 meters from jump range. *heh*
Yes, they'll blob to get a kill just to stroke their peens. Even though the Lachesis did scan me to see if I had cargo... I guess a smidgen of T2 salvage was worth the cyno fuel. --- Dreamer: My dream, Freddy! MY RULES. Freddy Kruger: *groans* Awwwww, f**k. --- Never give up! |

Please.. no instant gratification in Eve, this is not WoW, this is a cold hard game, where you either risk it, and lose it, pick up and try again, or don't and never get really far and deep into the 'neat' stuff.
I'm still very much hugging hi-sec, but I have my sights set on low-sec and Null-sec, and WH space. I've raided a couple of WHs now both alone and with corp buddies, and yes, we were all massively nervous, it was thrilling, exciting, and above all, a challenge.
The reason I quit WoW was because it was becoming an instant gratification, loot *****, easy game, where skill didn't really matter anymore, if you just kept grinding on and on and on.... Please, don't turn Eve into something like that..

I think it might be a small combat sleeper site that will do a random spawn anywhere in Eve. Might even have both Radar and Mag cans in it. One can only hope.

Details please - if no details/information available, then it's only conjecture. Now about the 'Mystery Sites' being found only in 0.0, I don't remember reading that in the patch notes.

I was moving around in high sec when I saw a beacon for a site I had never seen before. Something like quarantined blood raider base or what not? It had a dark blood faction cruiser spawn in it.

CCP has referred to deadspace complexes as "dungeons" in patch notes since 2004. Move along...

All great MMO¦s have to have a good PVE experience and plexes needed a real boost in eve IMO.
I live in 0.0 as I have done and will do for the rest of my eve lifetime. I have over 1.8k confirmed kills under my belt, yet I plex in 0.0 as much as I pewpew, if not more.
Dungeons are not strictly a world of warcraft thing, they are needed to enhance gameplay and playability.
If eve didn¦t have combat sites, mag¦s, ladars and wh¦s it has today I can assure you eve would be a very lonely place for the 0.0 dwellers.
