PREFACE: "Alright, what the hell, let's give it a shot." Personally, I have never liked these unsecured loans and have never participated in them before, neither offering nor funding. I have come across a business (the details of which I'm not even divulging yet) that looks VERY promising. I am putting 20 Billion of my own isk into the endeavor and would be able to expand it up to another 30 Billion.
PERSONAL BACKGROUND: (aka "Why you should trust me") Honestly, I would have a hard time trusting any of these bonds/loans, as I've said, but here it is for what it's worth: I am a 2005 player with a good reputation among any who know me or have done business with me in the past. I am proud to be the highest SP pilot for my start-date [Current skills: 281 (skill points: 93,294,671)], and would not trade my character reputation for 300 Billion, nevermind 30. I have a strong industrial capacity and enough assets to easily cover any possible losses. I am guaranteeing not only the principle of this loan/bond, but also the interest. Should things not go as planned, the principle will be returned by the due date (July 31, 2010) and the interest will be paid regardless of business success, although it might be late. So to be clear, this is the worst case scenario. If things go as planned, the principle AND interest will be paid on July 31, 2010.
OTHER TERMS: Within 1 week of the bond being filled, I will disclose the nature of the business. I expect investors will be pleased with it. I would prefer a fewer number of large investors rather than lots of smaller investors. Let's start with 1 billion being the minimum investment. If that doesn't fly within a few days, I'll lower it to 500m minimum.
As I said, this is my first time doing this. Feel free to shoot me questions on all the things I've forgotten to include or need clarification. I am already going forward with this business and have put up 20 billion of my personal cash to get going. I can expand it and share some profits, or just go with what I've got. Whether this gets filled or not, this offer closes upon Tyrannis release.
Thanks for reading, Rain

Sorry to burst your bubble but:
-no collateral -no previous loans/bonds running on Md -no posting history on MD -Battleclinic shows you regularly pvp wich is not bad for an industrialist to do BUT most of those kills are either high-sec or low-sec wich indicates to me pirate or empire griefer.
In your favour i also found posts of you indicating you do have knowledge of certain industrial stuff like pos setups etc.Oddly enough i got a bigger impression you have no idea what you are asking for then that you are trying to scam though .
In short raising 30 billion will be hard if not impossible for you.

Edited by: Raindeth on 22/05/2010 10:14:27 No worries.
First three points quite valid. I suppose I could unlockdown a bunch of BPOs and provide some collateral, but not really that interested. As far as the high-sec killmails indicating me as a pirate or griefer, you REALLY need to look more closely. You will notice that I am exactly the opposite. All of those highsec kills were made in my Iteron V. I tanked up a hauler, put some ridiculously expensive cargo in it, and gave a little back to the highsec suicide gankers. That's just me making the hauling lanes a bit safer for you guys.
Admittedly, I have little idea as to what gets filled here and what doesn't, but this is indeed a serious post, and certainly not a scam.

Edited by: flakeys on 22/05/2010 10:24:35 Readjust the plan , come back with a little more detail and unlock those bpo's as collateral if they have no need for this offer.Lower the loan , i think asking for 10 billion allready is asking much for your first time offer.
Your allways free offcourse to unlock those bpo's , see what their npc price is and give me a convo ingame to see if we can work out a loan for that amount.Yes it will be a lower loan and yes you will not be able to use said bpo's BUT you will also only need to pay half the interest rate.
On the topic of the killmails i indeed did not check them one by one so your response could well be the truth and my apologies for that. That remark however was only a minor one and it will not grand you a higher possibility to get a 30 bille loan.

Thanks for the pointers. I was having trouble unlocking some (crap) BPO's 3 days ago. I assume there is something I need to do after the vote, but wasn't able to see it. The frustration made me not want to deal with it anymore. Anyway, the NPC price of the BPOs is about 20 billion for the 15 or so I might use. I'd REALLY hate having to research them all over again though if I got "reverse scammed" which of course, is not directed to anyone personally.
As far as the loan being a high amount, I've made as much as I can and cashed out as much as I want to recently. And even so, there is still substantial room for expansion. Borrowing is the only method I think would get enough money in time to fill the gap. I don't like it. Never have, TBH, but I'm happy to put it out there at least for the satisfaction of knowing I pursued all options.

If you need someone to hold the BPOs as collateral and produce/research/copy or whatever you want off of them, let me know. Feel free to ask around for opinions of this risk of me "reverse scamming" you. Of course, if you chose to do this I'd be happy to invest too.

The CEO needs to go to the Sanctionable Actions tab under Politics and, um, sanction the action.

I wouldn't recommend investment beyond 95% of the NPC value of the BPO collateral. Collateral liquidations are generally done quickly which makes it harder to get top price, BPO values can go down due to nerfs or oversupply, counting collateral at full market price encourages defaults and it's good to have a chance of some small compensation for the oppertunity cost of investing in a defaulted venture when interest is not paid.
If you don't choose to use me to hold collateral, I'd recommend Kazuo Ishiguro as an excellent alternative.

Lets say I wanted to invest.
There are so many unanswered questions.
1) When will you pay the interest, how much will the interest be (exactly, not roughly 20%)? 2) When will you pay back the loan ? 3) How will you pay back the loan (in installments, in one payment)?

Hm, I thought I had been clear on this part at least, but perhaps not.
1. July 31st. Interest paid will be exactly 20% of whatever amount is lent. 2. July 31st. 3. One payment.
The only "out" I am leaving is if something unforeseen happens and the endeavor is not profitable or not AS profitable as anticipated. In that case, the principle will still be returned on July 31st and I will personally earn in some other manner the money to pay the 20% interest (20% of 30 Bn is 6 Bn) from my other income sources. I don't expect this scenario at all, but I want to leave it as an option so no accusation of me "reneging on the deal" is made. Should this be the case, I am confident I could earn the necessary 6 billion to satisfy interest within, say, 3 months. I suppose this part IS a bit vague, but it is only so in order to allow me to fulfill the obligation should something go wrong.
EDIT: Thanks, Ray McCormack. I knew it was something stupid like this.

Im guessing most MDers wont be really that interested in loaning you the isk then either.
Heck if you cant make the effort to unlock some BPO's what makes you think you'll have the effort to do what it takes to generate the isk returns.

I might be interested in loaning you some of the isk provided I hold the collateral for them.

Edited by: flakeys on 22/05/2010 16:41:20 You see OP you allready got 3 people who offered to hold the bpo as collateral for a ''private loan'' , now all you need to do is play them against each other in a % of returnfight and you are going to get that 20 bille loan with 4% interest max :)
Come to think of it , what's keeping cosmo?
