Jita is being limited to 1000 ships. Large amount of ships are being Massacred because they cant jump the gate. Limiting Jita to 1000 ships is going to ruin it as a trading hub and ruin the economy of a lot of players. This will also effect the market in a bad way.

So jita is a functional system now? I'm outraged!
There will be an effect on the market: it will go up or down, and you should buy or sell.

I don't care what your actual belief is or disbelief either. Tossing in political trolling is vastly inappropriate and highly disruptive. You may think you are cute or whatever internet lulz that is motivating you I think you should really be clear that some things are just not funny, not cute, and not tolerated. Mind you, I'm not really hammering you or even trying to flame you. I'm actually trying to help you as you can find yourself quickly without the ability to post if you don't get a clue on this particular topic. Trust me, I've watched people crash and burn trolling with politics. It ain't pretty and, sadly, the only thing I remember about them is that it ain't pretty. Not their names though... since they are gone why bother remembering them.

Did Jita die after Dominion? No? Then tell me why not, because they did the same thing last time: on/after patch, limit Jita local. Just like they disable the API. (And I'm sure a few other things are done as well, like intensive logging for the first couple of days).
This is all done to prevent lag issues to be mistaken as patch issues. Give it a few hours/days and Jita will be back to "normal".
Oh, BTW, do it like me: avoid Jita like the plague. Problem solved. -- EVEWalletAware - an offline wallet manager |

Or get those dang trade-skills up and sell/buy your stuff at perimeter/new caldari etc system next to jita. instead of Jita itself.

I think this is just a good opportunity to find some where new to create a new trade hub.
Maybe it's to mix things up a little bit, anyone whose got power in Jita should team up with each other and go create a new trade hub and take advantage of this.

Theses limits should certainly improved performance of server. yet, at the moment, its the panic on jita market, and there's 30scd or more for refresh it price.
And for the game it was ridiculous to have only one super-hub. where there's hundred of system.
It will probably help to renforce the 3 other hub in assets. (dodixie amarr and rens).
But there's another suprise for 0.0 alliance. if system are limited to 1000 players... how the hell can they invade a system if more than half of the slot are already taken by defenders ? hello 650defenders, only 350 player can jump in system, good luck !!

And here we have yet another person commenting on what they think is "by design" instead of realizing that the situation simply just happened. CCP did try to keep from having a superhub happen. Really, they did. The first one was effectively neutralized way back - it was Yulai. CCP created the "highway" system, the fast cross regional jumps that exist now, effectively killing Yulai's centralized location. Jita is not centrally located however other factors, no longer existent, made Jita attractive. Jita grew until it has become totally self sustaining no matter what CCP, or players, do. That is other than shut down the stations. There, that is your quick history lesson for the day. Might I point out that research prevents hoof in mouth disease. Assumption however is not a very good lubricant when you are shoving your head up your 4th point of contact.

Cross posting in half a dozen other forum sections is bad...
Anyways at the topic at hand there are more productive ways to adapt these temporary issue than whining about it. Moving to another hub, using those remote tradeskills, use another gate, are all very valid options.
Am I the only one who is starting to feel that this is shaping up to be one of the most amusing patches in CCP's recent history? PRAISE THE SCOTTISH FOLD!!

Shar since you recently accused me (perhaps rightly) of inferring things from your post that weren't there, I would point out that Spatiopathe doesn't actually say anywhere in her post that Jita being a mega trade-hub is in any way 'by design'
Merely that it was ridiculous that there IS a super-hub when there are hundreds of systems. The rest, I'm afraid, is purely inference on your part, which makes the subsequent comment uncalled for.
Practice what you preach, which is something which you should be familiar with after all ;-)

Wow. Who died and made you king of the world? Your posts in this thread have got to be one of the most flagrant examples of flaming/trolling that I've come across in a while, by a "muppet" who claims to be so much holier than anyone else.

Systems in 0.0 are not limited. They just lag to hell, like they always have (well, more lag since dominion).

Or the other way around, get a fleet in when the other side isn't ready and you own the system... wars might be fought by who can log in the most quickest after down time

Interestingly, I've never seen it more busy outside Jita station than today.
It's like the cap has made everyone want to go there and play pew-pew outside the station.

A gentleman never asks, a lady never tells.
I agree with your statement that it's just self sustaining at this point. I guess wherever we would get a trade hub would be caldari space though due to the CNR/mission runners. The only thing I would think that might remove it would be to somehow limit suicide ganking which would encourage more inter regional trading. But that's just a total guess.
And honestly its not like the other major hubs are that far behind. Amarr has some pretty significant traffic, as does Dodixie.
