I was noticing that in my Hulk when I press "align to" anything and than I stop the ship that the ship rights itself back to a "starting" position on a certain "angle" of the game. It's almost as though the solar systems are not truly 3D or it should not matter which "angle" my ship is at. Once aligned unless I change ship direction shouldn't it stay facing that way?
Thanks for any comments or trolling :p. Hopefully I can get at least one serious answer.

dont make it go full stop, make it slow down to something like 0.1 m/s and itll stay aligned ^^

by definition, "being aligned" requires both direction AND speed. there is very little difference between standing still and going 0.1 m/s, if required speed is 50-60 m/s, even if direction is correct. ________________________________ : Forum Bore 'Em : Foamy The Squirrel |

Oh so your saying there is a minimum speed for staying aligned?

No. He's saying that there is a difference between being pointed in a particular direction and being aligned. Being aligned means you are both pointed in a direction and are traveling at 75% of your max sub-warp speed or more or close to it. From this situation you can nearly instawarp if you want to escape.

If only we could actually not have a 2D plane on which our ships are leveled, then this wouldn't be that big of an issue.
