I haven't tried this since probably before dominion (when I thought it worked) so maybe it was a dominion change or I never fully understood the mechanic. I would appreciate a clarification.
I have been raising some standings of my alts by fleeting with them and running missions on my main. When I turn in the mission I select to share the mission rewards (this setting is saved). For all standard missions the percentage increase is applied evenly across all participants. I'm looking at my carthum conglomerate standing transaction history and I see the following examples:
Main: Recon (1 of 3) 1.0087% Recon (2 of 3) 0.1999% Recon (3 of 3) 0.1609% Duo of Death 0.343% A Special Delivery 21.0%
Fleeted Alt Recon (1 of 3) 1.0087% Recon (2 of 3) 0.1999% Recon (3 of 3) 0.1609% Duo of Death 0.343% A Special Delivery 0.5763%
As you can see regular missions are split evenly but for some reason the storyline missions are not. I've followed the advice for raising corporation standings which have always been to make sure the storyline agent is for the corp that you wish to raise standings for. For some reason it does not seem that these standings are being evenly split. Keep in mind that I realize faction standings are not shared, but these are corp transactions I'm looking at -- which I thought would be shared. If this is not the case it shouldn't matter what corporation you run storyline missions for. I want that nice big 21% gain to be split across the alts, not kept by the main who has no need for it.
Was this changed at some point and I just never noticed, or am I doing it wrong?
Thanks in advance.

Working as intended. Storyline mission do not transfer any Faction standing, and very little corporation.

That is a shame. You frequently read posts saying to pick a storyline agent of the same corporation but I guess that only applies when you're running the missions individually, and not sharing gains via fleet mechanics.
I guess in my case since it really does not matter what storyline agent I get I should just go for the highest quality agent even if the storylines are of a different corp. Actually, since my main already has 9.0+ with carthum getting a storyline agent from a different corp would actually be a benefit I suppose.
My intention is only to raise standings for alts, using the fleet mechanic, with the most efficient possible plan. At this point it seems that is just blitzing as many normal missions as possible.

Once your alts have sufficient standing with the corp use them to accept their own level 3 missions. Run them with your main and then do not share the standings when you hand them in. That way your alt gets all the standings from both normal missions and the storylines
