While scanning, why is it such a hassle to center the probes in the screen?
I choose a planet that is in the center of the system and begin from there. After a while, I¦m scanning on the edge of the system but it¦s such a hassle to "center" the probes! And it get worse when fine tuning the scanning at .1 or .05.
Am I missing the "alt-click-key" "auto-center the probes" screen instruction or what?
Ah! and please, pretty please! how can I get off the screen the "You are here" and other planet and station "information" signs while scanning?
Thnks 4 Ur help

Arrows work better than box..
Shift key is your friend.

right-clicking let you move around what you see on your screen while in the map/probing mode

Click on the name of a probe and it will center, I do it all the time trying to grab a stupid arrow if I don't resize the bubbles.

On the map-panel... choose options or settings or whatever, I can't remember. But it's there.

No hidden settings, no hard to find button... just this!

World Control Box - System Map Tab - Settings Tab
That's where you can select to not have the information text showing. The only text I have showing is 'You Are Here'.
Hold down the Right click mouse button and move the mouse to center the view of the probes on the screen. Hold down the Left click mouse button and move the mouse to rotate the view to see the top, side or bottom of the probes. The Center Wheel on mouse will zoom in or pan out the camera view.

Thanks all you guys and gals who shared this tips to simple problems very "a la EVE", where we have to untangle everything in order to make it work properly.
Scanning with probes has been running smoothly now.
Clicking in the probe¦s name will take that probe to the center of the screen.
Also, holding right click in the mouse will allow us to move the screen around.
Last but not least, simple config in the Solar System Map will take off our sight annoying names that bother our view and makes selection of probe¦s arrows difficult.
Thanks again.

Hold down the Shift key and the Left click mouse button on the arrow of one probe to move all probes at the same time. This can also be done to change the scan range radius of all the probes at the same time.
