This might be just be, but I'm of the opinion that calling the dramiels as the initial targets was a bad idea. I would have gone for the Scimi and then tried to take out the DPS. Were the frigs running some kind of ewar?
The Apocs shouldn't have had any issue with range etc and the bhaalgorn holding targets down. Am I missing something?
Discuss.

Agreed, with their DPS they could easily overcome the Scimi reps and removed a Cane or 2 before worrying about anything else

Yeah, bad target calling unfortunately. He should have called the Hurricanes primary, no doubt. The Scimitar may have been viable if they had target painters on the Daredevil or if the Scimi was mwding, but i wouldn't focus on that from the start.
It's a shame really, Tuskers could have snatched a bunch of points from HUN if not possibly won the match had they played their cards right.

I was yelling out to shoot the Canes (Not in the match). When they did it was already FUBAR swarms of ecm drones were keeping everything out of play almost. Seems to me that ecm drones are the way to go in these matches, unless they run into a large smartie.

so lesson learned: bring smarties next time?

Edited by: Don Pellegrino on 06/06/2010 16:36:24 The primary was the Scimitar, but the HUGE swarm of ECM drones kept almost everything jammed.
The Daredevil pilot did his job and took down the smaller ships.
edit: Rooks had smartbombs.

Aye Large smarties. As Don said the Rooks had Medium ones fitted, but looks like they were of not much use at all.

Oh yes. Hindsight is 20/20 - if we had smarties then yes, it would have gone different. Our main DPS was concentrated into the two APOCS and once they were both locked out, we were in trouble.
The rooks jammed all primary and secondary (and tiertiary) but the DPS from the other ship just went through. I was the first rook pilot.
1. Jammed the scimi 2. Jammed the first cane 3. Assigned drones to our own frigate 4. Heard that the other cane and drake was jammed. 5. Yellow-boxed by the remaining cane and thrasher (I think)and one other 6. Asked for reps. 7. Went to hull ( ) 8. Went down. Sad Panda.
Still, credit goes to HUN Reloaded team who beat us fair and square. Well done gentleman and good luck in the remainder of the tournament.
