Teamspeak 3. Voice quality trumps Ventrilo, and security-wise it's second to none. It's also nice to work with, free for up to a thousand slots, and very polished. Ventrilo is terrible, and a pain in the arse to integrate with anything, not to mention expensive. Mumble's also great, but TS3 has more polish. -- Ix Forres EVE Application Developer EVE Metrics | accVIEW | I Tweet |

Teamspeak 3.
Ventrilo isn't fully windows 7 compatible yet.

TS2 was terrible, but since TS3 I must say it finally passed ventrilo.

Eve Voice only for small stuff..talking with random people and the like.
For any serious operation, you need api integration, proper user rights management, channel/server command and most importantly an independent client, which Teamspeak offers.

Vent for best audio quality. Unfortunately it can't handle 500+ listeners in one channel and does not integrate with external authentication mechanisms like TS.

TS3 by far. Best voice quality (although that also has to do with the servers choice in codecs), free, good security, the works.
Only thing Vent really offers over TS3 is volume equilisation, and it wouldn't surprise me if someone has or is working on a TS3 plugin for that.
Vent probably comes second, with EVE Voice coming 3rd.
The others I haven't tried yet.

I have no preference i have teamspeak 2 and 3 ventrilo installed and use them as requiered. never tried mumble so i cant comment on it but id say i prefer teamspeak for the most part for the simple way in which you start recording however vent always seems easier to log into and add new servers to

TS 3 hands down.
Ventrilo is for morons and mumble doesn't sound right.
Also, TS 2/3 are the two that has the most power in setup, however ts 3 still in a beta stage so there are some issues. But i guess they will be solved sooner rather than later.
Plus, Ventrilo is just like skype. They wanna sucker people out of their money for something that is provided as free and works equally well.
My opinions belong to me, you can't have them!

I used to prefer Ventrilo, mainly for voice quality, but TS3 now has that and more. TS3.
Absolute worst? TS2. Gives me a headache just being on it.

From a user perspective they are all about the same. But server side TS3 is MUCH better. Better permissions and a much easier to use on the server side. Eve voice is nice when everyone doesn't have a client installed.

TS3, the voice quality is miles better than TS2 so eliminates the VENT argument for me now. My 0.0 Alliance has TS3 and its API security, look and feel is great.

Mumble
i think i've encountered them all by now... i'm just amazed how hard old habits really die - it's like people clinging to their MVCDs while the leet guys have switched to DIVX. - putting the gist back into logistics |

I've been using vent for years and I love it. Hated TeamSpeak in the past but I guess I haven't tried TS3. Only used Mumble for a brief period but I don't remember having any problems with it.
