Not bad at all.. maybe add something so you can see which planet produces all/most of the basic goods you need to make something. ( Say Enriched uranium, parts can be made on lava, parts on barren, but all of it can be made on plasma, so indicate this in the planets list on top when you select EU )

You sir just saved a whole forest from being cut down and processed into paper (Tier1 product)! I expecially like that highlighting feature - maybe you could add one to show the whole line from Raw to Tier4, multicolor for multible Lines, so you can see what you can harvest (raw) and which Resource may be also available for an alternate / cross-over production chain (that fifth element just got to be used ffs!)
Very good work, thx m8!

Both tools have their uses. Too bad they can't be combined into one (hint, hint). The feature I like about this tool is that given a particular product, you can easily tell what you need to make it (though only 1 level back). What I like about the other tool is that given a planet, you can easily tell what you can make on it.
One thing I would love to do is to say, given these resources, what can I produce out of it. For example, on a lava planet, if I don't want to extract or import Heavy Metals, what can I produce. If I were to import a certain resource, what can I product. This would really help plan my interplanetary logistics of what I need to ship where to produce what I want to make.

Edit: I don't get the point of selecting either (the hoving is what I find useful).
Nevermind, the other site has exactly what I am looking for now in its Chain Planet Matrix (as well as the production possibilities from before).
The new update is much appreciated. I like how I can quickly determine what to produce. For example, say I have an excess of a certain raw material. I can quickly figure out what I can make from it, hover to that item and look back and see what else I need to make from it. Great job.

Currently, if I click on a selection - it just highlights with no other visible impact.
Suggestion: Allow selections to be clicked on and the corresponding Made-From and Makes boxes remain.. and for multiple selections to be made.
For example - say that I want to have a colony that produces 2 different P4's (we'll say Wetware and Organic for example). It would be nice to click on both Wetware and Organic, which would highlight all of the P3's needed to make both of these - and then to be able to Click on EACH of those P3's which would then highlight all of the P2's needed.

Requesting CCP to replace evegate with this, it is far better.

It works a little differently. For example: try to check any RAW mats and you will see small icon (lightning atm) for ready schematic (ie schematic have all needed reagents checked)

Big thumbs up, very nice design. Thanks for building this tool.
I have a suggestion. since raw materials are frequently processed directly into tier 1, and there is a 1 for 1 correspondence between tier 1 and raw, it would be nice if the planet types light up when mousing over the tier 1 just like they do when mousing over the raws.
