They feel the same temperature as my desk. Howstuffworks says (and my own experience) say that leds produce a very small amount of heat. Simple solution? They are not using leds.

What about the bottom of the glass? Since the bottom would chill the surface it's against and would eventually equalize, would it not be possible to say that a constant room temprature on the bottom of the glass counter-act this?
