Im seeing alot of people arguing about buying sp but no one seems to have considered sp remaps like we can remap attributes.
When I first started playing I didnt know what I wanted to do except pvp, i didnt even know about all the things i could do, as a result today I have alot of skills i have no use of and regret training....it would be really awesome to be able to dump those skills and put the sp into something better.
It would be a once per year thing like atribs, and maybe only lets you move a certain amount of sp to stop people completely changing what their char does each year (like a titan pilot one year and then a industry powerhouse the next) but it would still be nice at some level

well iv never seen anyone post about it, not recently since ccp have said that they can now give players a sp pool. What with all the talk about buying sp i thought id ask about the possibility of remaping it.
i didnt realize every new post had to be new and interesting, tho looking at your post, and indeed most other posts on these forums at least im not in a minority of people who fail to provide these things.
and how the hell is this a troll? not like im inciting an argument here.

Saying that sp remaps would not cause an argument would be like some drunken lout in a wifebeater showing up at the local battered women and children shelter and suggesting that if the dumb ***** would just stfu and make him supper then he would not have had to slap her around.

I think you should definitely continue making threads about it. You're really making progress on this subject.

whats so inflammatory about sp remaps? you can be for or against them i guess but its hardly something to get worked up about, BUYING sp is much more of an issue.
and yea, lol about the move - i only posted in that forum cos that is where the buy sp threads were

2 reasons: 1. instant training for FOTM is bad. (like switching from t2 lasers to t2 projectiles after the buff) 2. people like the fact that lots of eve is about decisions and consequences. and your idea would take out the consequences out of training decisions.

Because then all you would have to do is dump all your attribute points into the best two and only need to buy two skill implants for those same attributes and be able to do well in all areas over time. This would be a massive boon to character farming. Bad Idea.

I still think one week bans for SP buying / remap threads would be OK to get rid of them. This is worse than the constant salvaging threads or anything else.

ever thought that the more you post "this is an un-orignial post" the longer it will stay on page 1 and the more people will have to be annoyed by it?

It's a bad idea imo, but unfortunatly I'm sure it will be implemented.
The reason I dislike it is because imo even the way we train stuff makes us unique, and being able to modify that makes pilots mainstream, flavor of the month... training of the month...
I'm kinda proud myself having played for 7 years, but still only have 672k in missiles, after implemented suddenly anyone can have that little - or less sp in a second making that small thing that made training unique dissapear. Shame imo.

If me not posting would make any difference, i'd stop immediately. But it won't. Someone else will post in the thread, keeping it on top and another player will post a new thread about that topic at the same time.

Haven't seen you that pessimistic in some time. Have faith. CCP can't be that dumb. Any buy SP / redistribute SP at will mechanic (WoW, lol) will be bad for the game. They know it.

I agree with you, but, if you could remap like.. 10% of your SP annually, would you do it? ---

A noob gets to remap 100k while a veteran player gets to remap 10mil?

No training are unique as there is a limit on levels you can reach. Everyone can have the same skills. The only difference is the time required to do it as EVE require much time to be correctly assimilated. It is also why the player who say "No. Choose right from the beginning." is just a moron.
It is a bad idea but if it had to be implemented (as it was for attributes...), I would tolerate it if it is 10% per year max AND a loss of SP. You want remap 1 SP, you have to use 4 for that. Remap a brain memory have consequences. _______ With the NGE, I'm sorry about the mistake we made. I agree SP remap would be a good thing. When I began Eve I made mistakes and I have a lot of Sp useless. But I think it would be really important to make rare, like one remap a year.
